FAQs
Is it compatible with 220V input?****
Older versions and the 220V adapter worked flawlessly. In 2011, I went on one to Ukraine, and I felt fantastic. It still functions well after I gave it as a gift to a friend.
Can it connect to a computer?****
Yes, the marketing for these speaker systems makes much of the simplicity and simplicity of the line-level cable connection. You’ll be set to go as long as your machine has line-level communication and I’ve never seen a PC audio card without L and R out. The same applies to connecting your phone, mp3 player, and other line-level devices (the 3.5 mm cable plug). That, I think, is the size.
Does it support the iPhone 5s?****
works great, we have 2!
What kind of extension cable ought I to get for the left speaker? On both sides of the sofa, I want to place the speakers.****
From the subwoofer to your device, you can utilize a normal 3.5mm male to male stereo extension wire. An RCA (composite) cable can be used to extend the left satellite speaker.
Which headphone is superior among the Bose Companion 5, Sound Stick 3, and Edifier Prisma?****
Although the sound sticks are stylish, they don’t provide the amount of sound or bass that I prefer. In my opinion, anything is superior to these. It does offer nice highs and mids, but that’s all there is. For the price, there are far better options available.
Is there a way to link my TV and Soundsticks 3 so that both speakers function?****
I’m unsure. The speakers are 1/8 inch “connector for stereo. It ought to function if your TV or converter box offers that kind of audio out. The 1/8 “The stereo jack, like the headphones on an iPhone, is a widely used standard.
Can I just purchase the left speaker? Mine blew out.****
I’d advise you to visit eBay and purchase a second-hand set sans the woofer.
When I connect my Audio Technica turntable to my Bose Companion 2 Series III speakers, will the sound from the speakers be amplified?****
Your machine supports two audio system connections. My Harman Kardon Stick III and Bose Companion 50 computer audio systems are both connected to my iMac through a stereo audio splitter connection.
Can you mount this beneath a desk?****
Under the desk, the woofer can be set up on the ground. The speakers and woofer cannot be “mounted” to anything at all.
Is it a problem for anyone else that the subwoofer unit sways on its legs? By placing a folded sheet of paper under the leg, I “fixed” the problem, but it persisted.****
Measure them—if they are level, it is much more likely that the surface you have them on isn’t level. The base will vibrate excessively if you set it up too high, allowing it to move slightly but not “wobble.”
Can you connect them with your iPhone?****
Absolutely! Simply connect it. However, you’ll need to search elsewhere if wireless connectivity is what you’re after.
it’s wireless****
It is not wireless, no.
With my Marrantz receiver, will this work?****
Doubtful, as these need a USB connection to work and a practical way to use that USB connection. They might function if the customer bought some form of adaptor or converter. It is not assured, though.
Is this compatible with my TV?****
If your TV has a 3.5mm aux output, you can use a 3.5mm aux cable to connect our Harman Kardon SoundSticks III to it.
I live in Australia; will this connect to and work with our electrical systems? thanks!****
I bought this item for usage in the United States and it came ready to connect into one of our typical 110v outlets; I’m not sure how your power system is set up. If your wall outlets are of the “European” variety, an adaptor or transformer could be needed.
