CAUTION -To reduce risk of re, electric shock or injury to persons : Make
sure that the electrical power to the fixture is disconnected prior to any
installation or retrofit.
TOOLS & MATERIALS:
- Wire Cutters

PREPARATION:
- Check the contents of the box. You should have received the spotlight fixture, mounting plate, mounting hardware, secure screw, and wire connectors. If any of these components are missing, please contact NICOR Lighting.
- If you are replacing an existing fixture, after ensuring the electricity is off, disconnect it and remove entirely exposing the supply wiring from inside the junction box.
- Fasten the mounting plate to the junction box using the screws included.
GENERAL:
- Be sure to read these instructions and review the diagram thoroughly before beginning the installation.
- All electrical connections must be in accordance with local codes, ordinances, or the National Electrical Code. If you’re unfamiliar with the practice of installing electrical wiring, secure the services of a qualified licensed electrician.
- The junction box must be supported by a building structure.
- Before starting the installation, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breaker or by removing the fuse at the fuse box. Turning the power off by using the light switch is not sufficient to prevent electrical shock.
- NOTE: The important safeguards and instructions appearing in this manual are not meant to cover all possible hazardous conditions and situations that may occur. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION:
To make the electrical connections:
Connect the white wire(s) from the fixture to the white wire(s) of the supply
circuit in the junction box. Connect the black wire(s) from the fixture to the
black wire(s) of the supply circuit in the junction box. Attach the green
grounding wire (or bare copper wire) from the supply circuit in the junction
box to the green grounding attachment screw on the mounting plate. To do this,
simply wrap the ground wire around the screw while tightening the screw to
secure the ground wire. The ground wire from the fixture should already be
secured to this same grounding screw. Ensure that both ground wires (from the
fixture and the supply circuit) are in contact and secured by the grounding
screw.
FINAL ASSEMBLY:
- Spread the electrical wires within the junction box so that the black wires are on one side and the white wires are on the other side.
- Place the fixture against the junction box surface allowing the threaded hole on the mounting plate to line up with the center hole on the fixture and secure the fixture to the mounting plate using the large secure screw provided.
- Install the light bulb (not included). Please refer the lamping label located within the inner spotlight aperture. This will provide recommended maximum wattage and bulb type.
- Outdoor wall fixtures should be caulked around the circumference of the cover plate with RTV or silicon caulking to reduce the chance of water penetrating into the junction box. Leave the bottom part of the cover plate clear of caulking to allow moisture a means of escape.
- Adjust the fixture head(s) to the desired location by loosening the nut(s) on the fixture arm. Once the head(s) are placed in the desired position, tighten the nut to secure the fixture heads in position.
