- Tools (included): wrench, sockets
- Tools (also required): drill, pair of pliers
- Assembly time: approx. 1 hour (with 2 persons assembling)
Assembly
Step 1: assembling the door
- Use the two fasteners to fix both ends of the C tube and secure the fasteners with 2 screws (M8×50 mm).
- Then slide the B tube into the A tube.
- After assembling the U-shaped frame, slide the ends of the A and B tube into the ends of the C tube.
- To attach the wire mesh to the door frame, proceed as follows:
- Place the two round rods in the position shown in the illustration.
- Then put one of the rods through the loops on the side of the wire mesh. Put the other round rod through the loops on the other side of the wire mesh.
- Then attach the round bars to the tubes using 4 pairs of hooks.
- Finally, use the wire tie to fix the wire mesh to the door frame and add strength and stability to the door.
Note! Loosen the two frame fasteners to be able to align the elements accurately.
Step 2: assembling the frame
Note! The door is designed to be mounted to the left side of a corner.
- Slide the tubes (1) into the tubes (2). Then start assembling the lower frame by putting together the bent parts and to keep them ready for further assembly. Keep the vertical tubes ready; they will hold the upper frame.
- Put the tubes together that will form the upper frame of the dog enclosure, then loosely attach the fasteners for the middle vertical tubes. — Note that 2 persons are required to do the next steps!
- Pick up the upper frame assembled and put it onto the vertical tubes. Then fix the four vertical corner tubes to the upper and lower frame by using the fasteners; secure them with a socket wrench.
Step 3: installing the door into the frame
- Fix the door to the frame using the door hinges and the set of large screws. Then fix the safety lock.
- Attach the wire mesh to the door on the upper and lower parts using the wire tie.
- Using a cordless screwdriver, insert the self-tapping screws into the corresponding pilot holes of the tubes and tighten them. This will help to stabilise the enclosure additionally.
Step 4: attaching the wire mesh
-
First unroll the wire mesh on the floor and extend it. Then roll it up again. Slide one of the round bars into the loops of the edge of the wire mesh roll and hook the round bar on the doorpost.
Now a second person is required to wind the wire mesh around the frame of the dog enclosure. -
In case the wire mesh is too long, remove a part of the desired length (at least 15–20 cm away from the door).
-
Now slide another round bar into the other edge of the wire mesh to attach the wire mesh safely.
-
Once slid in, attach the round bar to the frame. To secure the upper and lower part of the dog enclosure and to attach the wire mesh, fix wire ties to the frame. Finally, make sure that the fasteners attached to the frame are firmly hold by the self tapping screws.
-
The enclosure is now ready for your animal!
Step 5: assembling the roof (optional)
- Mount the roof after equipping the frame with the wire mesh.
- The cloth-roof frame consists of 2 pieces of tube (4), 1 piece of tube (5), and 1 piece of tube (6) as well as two sets of two fasteners and screws.
Mount the roof as follows:
- Slide the tube (6) into the tube (5) until both tubes are as long as the enclosure or longer.
- Using the two fasteners and the M8×50 screws, vertically attach the tubes (4) to two opposite sides of the enclosure and fix the tubes (4) to the middle of these sides.
- Fix the other pair of fasteners on the top of the tube (4). Then loosen the screws to be able to attach the tubes (5) and (6).
- Two persons are required to lift the assembly of the tubes (5) and (6) on the upper end of the tubes (4), to fix them to the two fasteners, and two re-tighten the screws. Voilà, the frame is assembled.
- Take the roof cover out of its packing. Two persons must seize each edge of the cover, put it onto the roof frame, and make sure that it rests symmetrically.
- Fix the roof cover to the frame and edge of the wire mesh using the black ropes included. To finish mounting, tighten them well.
