- THIS OPERATOR’S MANUAL CONTAINS IMPORTANT SAFETY AND OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS.
- This tool is designed to be powered by 2-AAA batteries properly inserted into the tool. Do not attempt to use with any other voltage or power supply.
- Do not leave batteries within the reach of children.
- Do not mix new and used batteries.
- Do not mix brands (or types within brands) of batteries.
- Do not use rechargeable batteries.
- Install batteries according to polarity (+ / -) diagrams.
- Properly dispose of used batteries immediately.
- Do not incinerate or dismantle batteries.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery, avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contactseyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
- Do not dispose of tool or batteries together with household waste material! Appliance and batteries that have reached the end of their life must be collected separately and returned to an environmentally compatible recycling facility.

ASSEMBLY
Changing Batteries
Only use alkaline batteries. If the product will not be used for a long time, remove the batteries as a protection against corrosion. To change the batteries:
- Open the battery compartment on the back of the handle.
- Insert two AAA batteries according to the polarity marked in the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment.
OPERATION
Turning On/Off the Measuring Wheel
To turn on the measuring wheel, press the power button .
NOTE: The screen will turn off after three minutes of inactivity. To turn
off the measuring wheel, press and hold the power button for one second.
Operating the Screen Backlight
To turn on the screen backlight, press and hold the power button .
NOTE: The screen backlight will turn off after 30 seconds of inactivity.
Recording Measurements
- Press Clear.
- Push the measuring wheel in the desired forward/backward direction
Holding Measurements
- To hold a current measurement, press the Hold button. To save this measurement, press Save.
- To resume measuring, press the Hold button again.
Saving Measurements
There are four memory slots available labeled M1-M4.
There are two methods to save a specific measurement:
Method 1:
- Press Save once located at the desired measurement. To save measure-ment in the M1 memory slot, press Save again.
- To navigate to memory slots M2-M4, press Memory.
- Once located on the desired memory slot, press Save.
Method 2:
Viewing Saved Measurements
To view a saved measurement, press the Memory button. To cycle through the four saved measurement slots, continue to press the Memory button. Once all measurements are cycled through, pressing the Memory button will return the device to recording mode.
Clearing Measurements
To clear a current measurement, press the Clear button to return the value to
zero.
To clear a saved memory measurement:
- Press Memory.
- Navigate to the desired measurement.
- Press Clear.
To clear all saved memory slots, press and hold the Clear button for three seconds.
Changing Measurement Units
To switch between measurement units, press the Units button. It will cycle through feet, feet and inches, and meters and centimeters.

Subject to certain exceptions, MILWAUKEE will repair or replace any hand tool which, after examination, is determined by MILWAUKEE to be defective in material or workman-ship for the lifetime of the tool. Return the hand tool product to a MILWAUKEE factory Service Center location freight prepaid and insured, is required. A copy of the proof of purchase should be included with the return product. This warranty does not apply to damage that MILWAUKEE determines to be from, misuse, alterations, abuse, normal wear and tear, lack of maintenance or accidents.
