Introduction

We congratulate you on the purchase of your new product. You have chosen a high quality product. Familiarise yourself with the product before using it for the first time. In addition, please carefully refer to the operating instructions and the safety advice below. Only use the product as instructed and only for the indicated field of application. Keep these instructions in a safe place. If you pass the product on to anyone else, please ensure that you also pass on all the documentation with it.

Care and use

  • Save energy ! To avoid heat loss, choose a hotplate with a diameter that matches the diameter of the product.

  • Effective bottom diameter approx.:

    • Pot: Ø 160 mm
    • Pan: Ø 160 mm
  • Before using the product for the first time, boil it out with water 2 to 3 times to completely remove all manufacturing residues.

  • Lightly grease the product.

  • Do not overheat the product while empty or filled to prevent the nonstick effect from weakening due to damage to the coating.

  • If you use the product for deep-frying: Fill a maximum of 1.8 litre of oil into the product.

  • When filling the frying basket with food for deep-frying: Fill the frying basket to no more than half its height.

  • Do not use the lid during deep frying.

  • To drain the oil, the frying basket can be hung on the side of the pot (fig. F).

  • Assemble the fry-basket handle for deep fry: Fig. A to E

  • Inserting the steamer insert feet: **Fig. G to K

**

  • If you use the product for steaming: Never let the pan boil dry.

  • The steam is scalding hot, use extreme caution!

  • Be extremely cautious of steam when removing cover. Lift cover lowly, directing steam away from you and let water drip into steamer.

  • Never heat the pot up on the highest energy level if it is filled with fat.

  • If it overheats switch the hotplate off immediately. Never lift the pot directly off the hotplate, but first allow it to stand on the cooling plate.

  • When preparing food, always follow the instructions in this manual.

  • When preparing food, do not let water come into contact with hot oil.
This would cause hot oil to be spattered.

  • CAUTION: Ice crystals on frozen foods may cause hot oil to spatter.

  • WARNING! DANGER OF INJURY! Please note that the handles may become hot during cooking. For your safety, use a potholder or barbecue gloves.

  • Risk of overheating! When fat-free food comes in contact with the non-oiled, overheated product, slight discolourations of the non-stick coating might occur due to the burning of proteins. Such discolourations are signs of wear and do not affect the quality of the coating and its fitness for use.

  • Heat up the food at a high/medium heat setting and then let it cook at a lower heat setting until ready.

  • Never leave the product unsupervised while the grease is warming: Overheated grease can ignite. Never attempt to extinguish grease fires with water! Smother the flames with a lid or a dense wool blanket.

  • CAUTION! When pouring hot liquids, be especially careful and cautious – otherwise there is a risk of scalding. Do not pour the liquid hastily, but ensure a steady flow. Make sure that no other persons, especially children, are in the immediate vicinity when pouring.

  • ATTENTION! If necessary, use a pot holder or comparably effective personal protective equipment (PPE) when pouring.

  • CAUTION! Immediately wipe off hot oil or other liquids that run down the pot or drip onto the cooking surface during pouring with a suitable cloth. Otherwise there is a risk of fire.

  • Only use plastic or wooden kitchen utensils to prevent damaging the non-stick coating. Do not cut food directly in the product.

  • Do not place meat which is still dripping with liquid into hot fat. The fat splattering out on to a hot hob could easily cause a fire.

  • The product is suitable for gas, electric, glass ceramic, induction and halogen cooker hobs.

  • Do not move the pot during deep frying or steaming.

  • Allow hot oil or water to cool down to room temperature before cleaning.

  • Note for induction hobs: A noise may occur under certain conditions, resulting from the electromagnetic properties of the heat source and the product. This is totally normal and does not imply that your induction hob or your cookware is damaged. Place the product in the middle of the induction hotplate . ATTENTION! High heating-up rate! Do not overheat cookware when preheating.
The room must be aired out well, in the event cookware overheats.

  • This product combines the benefits of aluminium cookware, such as low weight and high thermal conductivity, with the benefits of cooking with induction. To enable this, magnetic steel elements have been inserted in the aluminium base. Consequently the base is not magnetic throughout, so that on induction hobs that are significantly greater than the base diameter, it can happen that the induction coils do not react. This is not a quality defect and does not represent any impairment of the functionality. So that the product functions perfectly, please always place it on the hob corresponding to the effective base diameter stated in this manual.

  • High temperatures may discolour the exterior of the product. This does not indicate faulty material, nor does it impair the product’s quality or function.

  • Never hold the hot product under cold running water. The underside of the product may be damaged or fall off.

  • Pot, Pan, steamer insert, fry basket, lid are oven safe. Pot and Pan are
    heat-resistant to 230 °C (without lid). Lid is heat-resistant to 160 °C.

  • This product is suitable for dishwashers.

  • Food residues that have become stuck to the pot / pan / fry basket / steamer insert / lid should first be soaked in water and then removed using a sponge.

  • Handwash with hot water and common washing-up liquid. Avoid using sharp or pointy objects or brushes to avoid damaging the material.

  • Do not clean with harsh or abrasive cleaners.

  • Frequently cleaning of the product with harsh cleaners may damage it and can cause discolouration.

  • Aluminium pieces may discolour when placed in the dishwasher.

  • ATTENTION! The glass lid is fragile/not impact-resistant!

  • Do not use the lid if the knob is loose. Retighten the screw joint of the knob if it loose.
ATTENTION! RISK OF SCRATCHES! Do not move the cookware back and forth on glass-ceramic hobs!
To prevent scratches on the glass ceramic cooking surface, always lift the product before changing its position on the cooking surface.

  • We are not liable for damage which could otherwise result.

  • When pans with an exposed aluminium base are moved back and forth on ceramic surfaces, this can leave marks. These marks can generally be removed with a ceramic cleaner.

  • We recommend before cooking to wipe briefly the surface of the hob and the cookware bottom with a clean, lint-free cloth (e.g. microfibre) to reduce the risk of scratches.

  • ATTENTION! RISK OF SCRATCHES! Do not move the steamer insert back and forth inside the pot. Carefully hang the frying basket on the pot rim.

  • Food safe: This product does not affect the taste or odour of prepared foods.

  • Ensure sufficient ventilation to avoid heavy smoke in an enclosed environment.
