IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS. RETAIN FOR FUTURE USE

  1. Not to be used by persons insensitive to heat and other vulnerable persons.
  2. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  3. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  4. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  5. Do not use the electric plate warmer folded or wrinkled.
  6.  This electric plate warmer must be regularly checked for the presence of any sign of wear or damage. If this appliance has been used inappropriately or if it heats excessively, it must be checked by a qualified technician.
  7.  If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
  8.  Do not use electric plate warmer if wet.
  9. You must use this electric plate warmer in combination with the switch indicated on the label.
  10.  Electric and magnetic fields from this electric plate warmer may interfere with the operation of pacemakers. However, they are well below the limits: power of electric fields: 5000V/m max, magnetic fields power: 80A/m max, magnetic induction: 0.1mT Max please therefore consult your doctor and the manufacturer of your pacemaker before using this electric plate warmer.
  11. While this electric plate warmer is running, do not:
    •  put objects on to of it
    • put heat source above the electronic components of the switch heat during use.
  12. You should not cover the switch or place it on the appliance when it is in use.
  13. Do not pull, twist or bend the cables.
  14.  When storing the appliance, allow it to cool down before folding.
  15. Do not wash. Do not bleach. Do not tumble dry. Do not dry-clean. Do not iron. Do not use folded or rucked. Do not insert pins.
  16. Do not crease the appliance by placing items on top of it during storage.
  17. Not to be used by children under the age of three.
  18. This appliance is not intended for use in the hospital setting.

DESCRIPTION

HOW TO USE THE ELECTIC PLATE WARMER

  • Place the appliance on a flat and heat-resistant surface, making sure that the power cable is located at the bottom of the product.
  •  Plug the power cable into the power socket. The Electric Plate Warmer will start heating up automatically as soon as it is connected to a mains socket.
  •  Insert at least one plate into each fold to keep the heating surfaces separated. You can heat up to 5 plates in one go, a maximum of 2 in each fold.
  •  Check the plates’ temperature regularly during heating. It will take about 35 minutes until the plates are heated to a comfortable temperature. The outer rims will remain cooler, for better and safer handing. The use of oven gloves is recommended.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • For washing, open the two hook-and-loop fasteners and remove the aluminium foil covering heating element from the cover.
  • Wash the cover in warm (max.40℃) water and mild detergent, rinse and dry thoroughly. Make sure the cover is completely dry before reuse.

WARNING!
Only the textile cover can be washed. Never immerse the complete Plate Warmer in water or other liquid for cleaning.

PLUG WIRING (UK & IRELAND)

This appliance is fitted with a BS 1363 3-amp plug. If you have to replace the fuse, only those that are ASTA or BSI approved to BS1362 and with a rated current of 3-amps should be used. If there is a fuse cover fitted, this cover must be re-fitted after changing the fuse. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged the plug must not be used. Spare fuse holders and fuses are available from electrical outlets. If the socket outlets in your home or office are not suitable for this product’s plug, the plug must be removed and disposed of safely. Attempts to insert the plug into the wrong socket is likely to cause electric hazard. A replacement plug should be wired according to the following instructions:
The cable
A mains electricity cable contains two or three inner wires. Each has a core of copper and an outer layer of flexible plastic. This product is earthed; the wires in the cord set are colour coded in the following way:

  • BLUE
  • BROWN
  • GREEN & YELLOW
  • NEUTRAL
  • LIVE
  • EARTH

The diagram shows the key features of a correctly wired three-pin mains plug.
DISPOSAL

  • Coopers of Stortford use recyclable or recycled packaging where possible.
  • Please dispose of all packaging, paper, cartons, packaging in accordance with your local recycling regulations.
  • At the end of the product’s lifespan please check with your local council authorised household waste recycling centre for disposal.
