Before Upgrading Firmware

upgrade to 2.23 BEFORE upgrading to 2.29. -
Upgrading firmware from older versions is a tiered process.
Refer to the appropriate resources for supervisory controller
firmware upgrades.
Who Should Update
Copeland recommends that all customers upgrade their Supervisory
controllers and PCs running Connect+ to the latest version to
benefit from the latest fixes and enhancements. Ensure to upgrade
if you use any of the features listed in the table provided in the
manual.
Connect+ Update Recommendation
It is advised to upgrade to the latest Connect+ version before
updating Supervisory controllers. Contact Copeland for more
information on upgrading.
Features and Fixes in Supervisory Controller 2.29F02
The update includes features like group applications, status tab
graphing improvements, alarm filtering enhancements, and various
bug fixes.

Supervisory Controller Platform
Update Advisory E3 and Site Supervisor Firmware 2.29F02
A new general release version of the Supervisory controller firmware version
2.29F02 has been released and is available for customer upgrade. For more
information, visit the Supervisory Control page on the Copeland website:

IMPORTANT! For E3 firmware upgrades, be sure to use the _Display_Update file.
Before Upgrading Firmware
1. Note that for firmware versions 2.16 to 2.22, you must first upgrade to
2.23 BEFORE upgrading to 2.29. 2. Upgrading firmware from older versions is a
tiered process. See the last page of this document for links to resources for
supervisory controller firmware upgrades.
Who Should Update
Copeland recommends that all customers upgrade their Supervisory controllers
and PCs running Connect+ to the latest version to take advantage of the latest
fixes and enhancements listed in the table below. All customers who use any of
the features in the table below are advised to upgrade to Supervisory
controller 2.29F02, and
customers using any of the features listed in the matrix on pages 2-4.

CONNECT+ UPDATE RECOMMENDED
It is recommended to upgrade to the latest Connect+ version. If you plan to
upgrade Supervisory controllers and Connect+ at the same time, upgrade
Connect+ to the latest version first, then update the Supervisory controllers.

Features and Fix Descriptions
Features
Group Applications Applications can now be grouped and customized in a logical
way. Multiple tiles can be selected and moved. Applications can also be
selected in Alarms Association and filtered by these groups.
Status Tab Graphing Graph samples are now dynamically loaded with the latest
1000 samples presented by default. Backward and forward arrow icons allow
navigation of 500 samples by day.
Alarm Filtering Alarm forwarding, escalation, and reporting enhancements
added. Numerical values can now be assigned for alarm priorities.
Fixes
UI Chrome – Time panel can now be opened by clicking the body of a time picker
after upgrading Chrome to the latest version. Log Graph – When zooming in on a
graph, the None time label is now visible. E3 Auto log off window no longer
appears on the E3 panel after system time is changed to a later date. Point
unit and date no longer overlap on the Log Graph page. Delete button now
appears on the right edge of the screen. General enhancements to the PIB
firmware update screen message. Copeland logo updated on header and Home
screen. Physical 4AO and 8RO Input and Output status are now aligned on
screen.

Fixes continued
Generic Alarm Generic Alarm for ACTIVE SETPOINT is now functioning properly.
XM678D_25 Refg Type options now match the user guide.
Offline Alarms Issues involving a maximum number of connections no longer
causes device offline alarms.
Alarm Communications Alarm Annunciator:
Alarms no longer remain on after the alarm condition was cleared. Alarm output
and light no longer remain on when there is no active alarm.
BACnet Certain conditions where Offline Delay was not recognized is now fixed.
XR75 CD Association in E3 is now functional.
16AI Input types can now be changed without having to delete associations.
Security AI AUX A unit can now receive the correct output in PSI. Overrides
are now functioning properly. Backups created through Connect+ are now
encrypted (2.26F02 and above).
Graphing Date format on graphs now matches the format selected in the
Localization screen. Point, Unit, and Date no longer overlap in Log Graphs.
MRLDS 250 Connection is no longer disconnected resulting in a drop offline.
NVR Application Response Delay Parameter is now functioning as expected.
MQTT Secure Port 443 connection with MQTT protocol is now supported.
HTTPS Certificates Default certificates will no longer expire.
UltraSite to Controller Restore CCT-Stat: Device Address, OCCUPANCY, and Comp
Lockout will now convert correctly. Suction Group: Parameters will now convert
correctly. XM Circuits: Parameters will now convert correctly. 8DO: Parameters
will now convert correctly. Analog Combiner: Parameters will now convert
correctly. 4AO: Parameters will now convert correctly.

Connectivity issues have been resolved. Floor Plans
Controller no longer reboots when pulling E2 points for a Floor Plan. Loop
Sequence Control
PID Reset Mode Keep Last Val will now retain the last value. ISD Application
COMP RUN OUT will now report the current run status of the compressor.
