Schematic Diagram Units 2-5 Tons

On your wiring diagram the compressor will have C, S and R. On the compressor CSR will be on the cover over these wires. C=Common S=Start R=Run Each wire will be under a letter and can be traced from the compressor.

  1. Before Easy Start installation! All connectors used must be 600VAC rated.
    If present in your system all start component connections and wires need to be removed. [see yellow Xs]

  2. Put Easy Start Black with compressor common (C) [BK/BL] on the contactor behind the screwhead using a fork or ring terminal connector.

  3. Put Easy Start Orange on the run-capacitor Herm (H) position.
    The compressor start wire will also be present on the Herm post.

  4. Remove compressor run (R) [RD] from the contactor and Splice to Easy Start Brown. [see red X] The wire between the contactor and run-capacitor common is untouched, unused and nothing connected at either end!

  5. Where you removed the last connection Put Easy Start White on the contactor behind the screwhead using a fork or ring terminal connector.

  6. Before Easy Start installation! All connectors used must be 600VAC rated.
