INSTRUCTIONS

  1. TestRun
Practice attaching your roof cover at home to ensure you understand the process.

  2. Understanding The Conditions
Your roof cover is designed to protect your tent from pollen, tree sap and other debris.
Roof covers also reduce the temperature inside your tent by reflecting heat and UV light.
While your roof cover is designed to perform in most conditions, it is not designed to be used in very windy or stormy weather. During these conditions it is recommended that your roof cover is removed to prevent damage to your tent.

  3. Unpacking
When taking your roof cover out for the first time, take a moment to see how it is packed or take a photo on your phone. This will help you when it comes to packing your tent away. You will notice large yellow ladder hooks at each end of your roof cover and smaller hooks running along each side. The silver lining of the roof cover should face down and the roof cover logo should be located at the rear of the tent.

  4. Pull Over
Before attaching your roof cover, loosen all adjustable straps along its perimeter. With someone holding each end of the roof cover, pull it over the tent with the silver side facing down. If you are unable to reach each side of the cover, attach guy ropes to either end to extend your reach. The roof cover logo should be located at the rear of the tent.

  5. Hooking On
Attach the large yellow ladder hooks through the loops found above each of the rear anchor straps on your tent.
Connect the corresponding ladder hooks through the loops found above: the front anchor straps. Tension the roof cover with the adjustable straps to remove any slack.
****Working around the roof cover, attach the black plastic hooks to the bright green webbing loops sewn along the top of your tent. These will be found directly above where the guy ropes are attached.

  6. Packing Down
Itis important to remove the roof cover before deflating your tent. This will help prevent condensation from being trapped between the two layers. It will also help when pitching your tent next time.

  7. Rolling Away
When rolling your roof cover away, lay the carry bag down beside the cover and fold the roof cover to 3/4 the length of the bag. It is a good idea to fold the roof cover so that the webbing and hooks extend outside the fold. This will ensure they do not catch and tear the fabric when opening.
To prevent mildew, ensure that your roof cover is dry when packing away. If you must pack your roof cover up wet, hang out and air as soon as possible, mildew can develop within a few days.

UV Degradation
Tent fabrics can be weakened by prolonged exposure to sunlight. Under normal holiday use, your Zempire” tent will give you many years of camping enjoyment. However, extended use i strong sunlight will cause degradation. It is recommended that during periods of strong sunlight your Zempire* Roof Cover is used to help protect from UV damage. UV degradation is not covered under warranty. The warranty does not cover permanent sites, displays or commercial use.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Never pack your roof cover away wet. If you must take your roof cover down when wet, ensure that it is dried completely as soon as possible to prevent mildew forming.
  2. If mildew does form on your roof cover, wash off with warm water and a soft brush to prevent further growth. Do not use soap or detergents.
  3. This roof cover is not designed to withstand storm conditions. During a severe storm, itis. recommended that the roof cover be taken down.
  4. Do not leave your roof cover or tent pitched unnecessarily for extended periods of time. UV light damages the fabric and will shorten the life of your roof cover o tent.
