COMPATIBILITY

Airforce 1N2, Jet Force, Titan, Atlas, Millbrook (2010 onwards), Sheraton, Duxton, Mission Control

Dimension

KEY TIPS

  • When connecting the sunroom walls, unpeg the front of the awning before you attach it. Then re-peg after attaching as this will allow the walls to easily zip and give you a flat panel once complete.
  • Do not over-tension guy ropes as your tent is designed to be free-standing without the need for these. The guy ropes should be taught but shouldn’t pull your tent out of shape.
  • Internal window panels can be half-opened to control airflow and privacy. Fold window panels so they sit between the lower cover and mesh panel.
  • If you experience heavy rain or morning dew, flick the inside of the cover a few times to remove water from the mesh panel before opening the cover.
  • For quick and easy pack away, stack all wall panels on each other and fold at the same time.
  • Place the floor panel in the carry bag first, as it will act as a slide to help insert the wall panels into the bag easier.

PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Unpacking
    • When you take your sunroom out for the first time, take a moment to see how it is packed or take a photo with your phone. This will help you when it comes to packing it away. Separate and identify the different parts included with your sunroom.
    • The package should include the following:
    • 2 x side panels
    • 1 x front panel (with a door)
    • 13 x Dome Pegs 6mm
    • 1 x PE floor insert
    • Pole spacer set
  2. Loosen Ciuy Ropes
    • Before attaching the sunroom, loosen the guy ropes on your tent awning to remove tension on the panels. Check that the webbing guide straps on the awning are taught and square to ensure correct peg placement.
  3. Side Panels Come First
    • The side panels should be attached first (the logo on the outside of the panel indicates the side closest to the front of the awning).
    • Starting with the tent side of the panel, attach using the velcro on the inside edge of the tent awning. The extended storm skirt should be folded inside the awning.
    • Once the panel is connected, attach the support tag over the central awning pole and adjust the tension as needed.
    • Repeat with the opposite side panel.
  4. Front Panel
    • When attaching the front panel, first attach the support tag over the central awning pole.
    • When connecting the velcro on the front panel, begin in the centre and work your way outwards towards the sides. This will ensure that the panel aligns correctly with the awning.
  5. Storm Skirts
    • The lower storm skirt should be folded inwards and the awning poles should rest on top of the skirt.
    • Attach the storm skirt to the velcro sewn onto the bottom seam of the awning valance.
  6. Pegging
    • Peg out the walls, being careful not to over-tension. You may also need to adjust the placement of the awning valance pegs to properly tension the sunroom. You can now re-tension the awning guy ropes.
  7. PE Floor
    • If you wish to use the PE floor insert, this should be laid on top of the storm skirt in order to seal out the weather.
    • NOTE: As ZEMPIRE® sunrooms are universal, the floors are designed to fit our largest tents. If you find that your floor is too wide, you may decide to trim off the excess material.
  8. Awning Poles
    • Place the awning poles and tent eve poles on top of the floor to keep it in place.
  9. Spacer Set
    • Your sun room comes with a spacer set. These spacers are designed to go in-between the side awning pole sections to increase their length.
    • This allows them to be angled outwards to match the side of the tent, creating more useable space inside your sun room.
  10. Pack Away
    • When packing away your Canvas lite Sunroom check the outside of the walls to be sure that the canvas is clean (remove any bird droppings etc) and is totally dry before taking down.
    • Windows and doors should all be zipped fully closed.
    • Remove, clean and pack the pegs in provided storage bag.
  • Remove the front wall and lay flat on the ground. Remove both side walls and lay over the front wall.
  • Fold the walls to the same shape as the side walls (fold over the top portion of the front wall). Fold the sunroom lengthways to 2/3rds the width of the storage bag.
  • Place on top of the floor and roll the panels and floor to fit comfortably inside the carry bag. Use the webbing compression straps to secure the rolled sunroom.
  • Pull the carry bag over the rolled sunroom, stow pegs in the carry bag, and pull the drawstring shut. Store with a tent in a clean and dry environment.

Condensation

  • It is important that lower vents are opened at all times to reduce the risk of condensation. During humid or damp conditions, it is recommended that the window covers are opened to expose the mesh layer, enabling additional airflow throughout your tent.
  • Do not use foam swabs or non-bonded mats directly on the tent floor. This will cause condensation between the mat and floor and if not dried out, can lead to mildew forming.

WEATHERING YOUR TENT AND SUNROOM

  • When you first get your new tent, you will need to weather it. This is a process of soaking the fabric to ensure the cotton threads swell up, reducing stitch holes and creating a watertight surface.
  • When you pitch your tent for the first time, wet the tent with a garden hose until the fabric is visibly damp. Allow to dry and repeat two or three times.
  • Your tent will get more watertight the more you use it. Do not be concerned if you have a small amount of water coming through the seams on the first few times you get heavy rain.

Natural Fibre

  • Our ZEMPIRE® Canvas material is a combination of cotton (for breathability and water fastness) and polyester (for strength).
  • You may notice variations in both color and thread thickness. This is completely normal with a natural breathable fibre.

Fire Retardant

  • ZEMPIRE® Canvas Tents are naturally fire retardant. While this significantly reduces the risk of the fabric catching on fire, it is by no means fireproof. Ensure open flames are kept well away from your tent at all times.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Ensure guy ropes are out at all times during use.
  2. Make sure you have all vents open at all times. Constant airflow will drastically reduce condensation in humid weather conditions. Never cook in your tent as it is unsafe and would also heavily increase condensation.
  3. Ensure all doors are zipped closed before fitting and removal. This helps keep the panel’s shape and prevents stress on panels/zips.
  4. Never pack your sunroom away wet. If you must take your sunroom down when wet, ensure that it is dried completely as soon as possible to prevent mildew from forming.
  5. If mildew does form in your sunroom, wash off with warm water and a soft brush to prevent further growth. Do not use soap or detergents.
  6. Do not use aerosol spray cans or an open flame inside your tent.
  7. Always use a peg puller to remove pegs. Never remove pegs by pulling the sunroom or peg loops; always clean and dry pegs before storing.
  8. This tent is not designed to withstand storm conditions. During a severe storm, it is recommended that the tent be taken down.
  9. Do not leave your tent pitched unnecessarily for extended periods. UV light damages the fly and will shorten the life of your tent.
