Instructions for Use
Before First Use
Before using the food processor for the first time, wash all of the
accessories except the blade attachments in warm, soapy water, then rinse and
dry thoroughly. Wipe the food processor base unit with a soft, damp cloth and
allow to dry thoroughly. Never touch the blades; using extreme caution, clean
the blades with a brush and dry them carefully. Do not immerse the food
processor base unit in water or any other liquid.
NOTE : When using the food processor for the first time, a slight odor may be emitted. This is normal and will soon subside. Allow for sufficient ventilation around the food processor.
Using the Food Processor
All attachments must be securely fitted before use; do not attempt to
remove them until the blades have stopped moving.
STEP 1: Before connecting to the mains power supply, position the food
processor base unit onto a flat, stable surface, at a height that is
comfortable for the user.
STEP 2: Place the transmission shaft onto the center of the food
processor base unit so that the tabs are aligned.
STEP 3: Add the processor bowl to the food processor base unit so that
the transmission shaft goes up through the center of the processor bowl. Align
the tabs and rotate the processor bowl in a clockwise direction until it locks
into place. The handle should be facing to the right after it is locked.
STEP 4: Select the desired attachment.
- For the chopper blade, emulsifier disk, and dough blade, place the blade attachment adaptor onto the transmission shaft and then fit the desired attachment.
- For the shredding/slicing disc, place the disc directly onto the transmission shaft. Insert the desired disc shredding side up or slicing side up, depending on the nature of the food to be prepared.
STEP 5: Add the ingredients to the processor bowl.
STEP 6: Position the processor bowl lid onto the processor bowl and
secure in place by aligning the tabs and then twisting in a clockwise
direction until it locks.
STEP 7: Insert the food pusher into the feeding chute.
STEP 8: Plug in and switch on the food processor at the main power
supply.
STEP 9: Holding the processor bowl steady, rotate the control dial in a
clockwise direction to the required setting until the food is chopped to the
preferred size. Turn the control dial back to ‘O’ and wait for the blades to
stop rotating before removing the processor bowl lid.
STEP 10: Additional food may be added to the chopped ingredients by
removing the processor bowl lid, adding the ingredients, and then replacing
the processor bowl lid before repeating the chopping process. Alternatively,
ingredients can be added via the feeding chute and pushed down with the food
pusher if required.
STEP 11: To remove the processor bowl from the food processor base unit,
remove the processor bowl lid and carefully remove the chopping attachment
without touching the blade. Twist the processor bowl in an anticlockwise
direction and pull it away from the food processor base unit.
NOTE: Check that the processor bowl lid is securely fitted before use. Switch off and unplug the food processor from the main power supply before adding or removing food.
WARNING: Do not use your fingers to push food down the feeding chute; only use the food pusher. Do not operate the food processor without food, as this can cause damage. Switch off and unplug the food processor from the mains power supply before attempting to remove the chopper blade attachment and before cleaning. Max. operation time is l ½ minutes. Allow cooling for a minute before using the food processor again.
Using it as a Blender
STEP 1: Position the food processor base unit onto a flat, stable surface
at a height that is comfortable for the user.
STEP 2: Place the blending jug onto the food processor base unit,
checking that the locking tabs are aligned on both. Turn the blending jug in a
clockwise direction until secure. The handle should be facing to the right
after it is locked.
STEP 3: Chop the ingredients to be blended into small pieces and place
into the blending jug. Do not exceed the max. fill mark.
STEP 4: Pour the required amount of liquid into the blending jug. Do not
exceed the max. fill mark.
STEP 5: Fit the jug lid and filler cap onto the blending jug so that the
locking tabs are aligned on both. Twist in a clockwise direction until secure.
STEP 6: Plug in and switch on the food processor at the main power
supply.
STEP 7: To blend the ingredients, turn the control dial to the desired
speed setting (l, 2). Turn the control dial to ‘P’ to activate the pulse
function; release to stop it. The pulse function provides quick bursts of
speed, useful for more solid foods.
STEP 8: Stop the blending process by twisting the dial back to ‘O’.
STEP 9: Switch off and unplug the food processor from the main power
supply. STEP 10: Detach the blending jug from the food processor base unit by
twisting it in an anticlockwise direction and pulling it up and away from the
food processor base unit.
NOTE: Ingredients can be added to the blending jug whilst the food processor is in operation by removing the filler cap. When mixing liquid, blend small quantities at a time to reduce spillage and splattering.
WARNING: Max. operation time is l minute. Allow cooling for 2 minutes before using the food processor again.
Troubleshooting
Storage
