3. Description
The IZAR CENTER sends requests to connected meters via the
M-Bus. This action can be manual or automatic. For automatic meter
reading, a memory-equipped IZAR CENTER is needed with programmed
reading intervals. Meter data is stored internally and can be
transmitted to reading software.
4. Installation and Removal
Mounting IZAR CENTER: Follow the provided
instructions for mounting the IZAR CENTER securely.
Removing IZAR CENTER: To remove the IZAR
CENTER, follow the reverse steps of installation.
5. Electrical Connection
M-Bus Connections: Use the specified
connections for M-Bus devices.

1. Allgemeines zur Anleitung
Die Anleitung wendet sich an ausgebildetes Fachpersonal. Grundlegende
Arbeitsschritte sind deshalb nicht aufgeführt.
2. Verpackungsinhalt
Kontrollieren Sie bitte vor der Montage bzw. Inbetriebnahme des IZAR CENTER
den Verpackungsinhalt.

3. Beschreibung
Der IZAR CENTER schickt eine Anfrage an die am M-Bus angeschlossenen Zähler.
Diese Aktion kann manuell durch den Benutzer oder automatisch durch den IZAR
CENTER ausgeführt werden.
Zur automatischen Zählerauslesung wird ein IZAR CENTER mit Memory benötigt, in
den ein allgemeines oder zählerindividuelles Ausleseintervall programmiert
wird. Der Zähler antwortet auf diese Anfrage, indem er seine aktuellen Werte
an den IZAR CENTER schickt.
Die Zählerdaten werden in einem internen Speicher abgelegt und können von dort
aus automatisiert an eine Ablesesoftware (IZAR@NET Software) übertragen
werden.

5. Hinweise
Das Gerät muss unter strikter Einhaltung der in der vorliegenden technischen Beschreibung angegebenen Vorschriften installiert und verwendet werden. Jegliche Manipulation oder Installation, die nicht ordnungsgemäß und entsprechend der genannten Vorschriften erfolgt, entbindet Diehl Metering von jeglicher Verantwortung. Diese liegt ausschließlich beim Verursacher.
Der IZAR CENTER darf nur von Fachkräften montiert und in Betrieb genommen werden.
6. Montage / Demontage
Vor jeder Montage oder Demontage muss die Stromzuführung (Buchse 16, Abb. I)
unterbrochen werden.
IZAR CENTER montieren
Schnappen Sie den IZAR CENTER auf die Hutschiene auf. Der schwarze
Sicherungsbügel (Buchse 65, Abb. I) muss dabei nach unten zeigen und hörbar
einrasten.
IZAR CENTER demontieren
Benutzen Sie einen spitzen Gegenstand (z.B. Schraubendreher) und ziehen Sie
den schwarzen Sicherungsbügel an der unteren Kante des IZAR CENTERs nach
unten.

Die Verriegelung wird damit gelöst und Sie können den IZAR CENTER von der Hutschiene abnehmen.
7. Elektrischer Anschluss (siehe Abb. I)
Bei Anschluss von LAN- und M-Bus Kabeln über lange Strecken oder zwischen
Gebäuden ist die Zwischenschaltung eines Blitzschutzes erforderlich. Folgende
Typen sind hierfür qualifiziert.
M-Bus Verbindungen:

Der M-Bus ist polaritätsunabhängig, es muss nur jeweils ein + und ein –
Ausgang mit dem entsprechenden M-Bus Zähler verbunden werden. Alle M-Bus
Ausgänge sind parallel geschaltet.
Repeater
M-Bus Ausgang eines weiteren IZAR CENTERs an die Klemmen 1 und 2 anschließen.
Verbinden Sie die Klemme 5 oder 6 mit einen Schutzerdepotential. Schutzerde
muss am IZAR CENTER angeschlossen sein.

Schließen sie keine weiteren M-Bus Zähler mehr an. In diesem Zustand ist der

Überlast In diesem Fall sind entweder zu viele M-Bus Zähler angeschlossen,
oder die Busleitungen haben einen Kurzschluss. Bei Busüberlast wird die M-Bus
Spannung für ca. 2 Sekunden abgeschaltet. Danach wird der Busstrom überprüft
und gegebenenfalls wiederum abgeschaltet.

9. Wartung Der IZAR CENTER benötigt keine besondere Wartung. Nicht mit
Lösungsmitteln oder Scheuermittel reinigen, da diese das Kunststoffgehäuse
beschädigen können. Wenn nötig, Tuch oder feuchten Schwamm zur Reinigung
verwenden.
10. Lagerung Der IZAR CENTER kann an einem trockenen Ort bei Temperaturen
zwischen -20 °C und +70 °C gelagert werden.
11. Umwelthinweis Das Gerät darf nicht mit dem Hausmüll entsorgt werden.
Senden Sie es zum Recycling an den Hersteller zurück.

3. Description
The IZAR CENTER sends a request to the meters connected to the M-Bus. This
action can be performed manually by the user or automatically by the IZAR
CENTER.
For the automatic meter reading a IZAR CENTER with memory is required, where a
general or meter individual reading interval is programmed. The meter responds
to this request by sending the current values to the IZAR CENTER.
The meter data are stored in an internal memory and from there they can be
transmitted automatically to a reading software (IZAR@NET Software).

5. Instructions
The device must be installed and used in firm compliance with the specified rules in the present technical description. Any manipulation or installation, that is not properly carried out and does not correspond to the mentioned regulations, obviates any responsibility on the part of Diehl Metering. In this case, the responsibility lies solely with the originator.
The IZAR CENTER should be mounted and put into operation by qualified experts only.
6. Installation / removal Before every installation or removal the power
supply (socket 16, fig. I) must be interrupted.
Install IZAR CENTER
Snap the IZAR CENTER onto the hat rail. The black safety catch (socket 65,
fig. I) must point downwards and engage audibly. Remove IZAR CENTER
Use a pointed object (e.g. screwdriver) and pull the black safety catch on the
lower edge of the IZAR CENTERs downwards.

The locking is released and you can remove the IZAR CENTER from the hat rail.
7. Electrical connection (see fig. I)
If LAN- and M-Bus cables are connected over long distances or between
buildings, the interconnection of a lightning protection is required. The
following types are qualified for this purpose. M-Bus connections:

The M-Bus is not polarity-conscious, a + and a – output must be connected to
the corresponding M-Bus meter. All the M-Bus outputs are connected in
parallel.
Repeater
Connect M-Bus output of a further IZAR CENTER to the terminals 1 and 2.
Connect terminal 5 or 6 with a protective ground potential. Protective ground
must be connected to IZAR CENTER.

Overload In this case, too many M-Bus meter are connected or the bus wires
have a short-circuit. If there is a bus overload, the M-Bus voltage is
switched off for 2 seconds. Then the bus supply is checked and is also
switched off if required.

9. Maintenance The IZAR CENTER does not require any special maintenance. Do
not use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents, as these may damage the plastic
housing. If required, use a cloth or moist sponge for cleaning.
10. Storage The IZAR CENTER can be stored in a dry place at temperatures
between -20 °C and +70 °C.
11. Environmental note The device must not be disposed together with the
domestic waste. Return it to the manufacturer for recycling.

5. Indications
L’appareil doit être installé et utilisé en respectant strictement les prescriptions mentionnées dans les instructions techniques fournies. Toute manipulation ou installation se déroulant incorrectement et non conformément aux prescriptions mentionnées dégage Diehl Metering de toute responsabilité. Elle incombe exclusivement à son auteur.
Seul un personnel qualifié est autorisé à installer ou à mettre en marche l’IZAR CENTER.
6. Montage / Démontage Débrancher l’alimentation (prise 16, fig. I) avant le
montage ou le démontage.
Montage de IZAR CENTER
Clipser l’IZAR CENTER sur le rail DIN. Le crochet de fixation noir (prise 65,
fig. I) doit montrer vers le bas et l’encliquetage doit être audible.
Démontage de IZAR CENTER
Utiliser un objet pointu (par ex. un tournevis) et abaisser le crochet de
fixation noir au bord inférieur de l’IZAR CENTER.

Le verrouillage est ainsi débloqué et vous pouvez retirer le IZAR CENTER du rail DIN.
7. Raccordement électrique (voir fig. I)
Si des câbles LAN et M-Bus sont raccordés sur de longues distances ou entre
des bâtiments, la mise en place de parafoudre est nécessaire. Nous avons

atteinte. Ne pas connecter plus de compteurs M-Bus. Dans ce cas l’IZAR CENTER

Surcharge Dans ce cas, trop de compteurs M-Bus sont connectés ou la ligne
M-Bus est en court-circuit. S’il y a une surcharge, le courant M-Bus est coupé
pour env. 2 secondes. Le courant Bus est vérifié et, si besoin, coupé de
nouveau.

9. Entretien
L’IZAR CENTER n’a besoin d’aucun entretien particulier. N’utilisez pas des
produits chimiques abrasifs et à base de solvant parce que le boîtier en
plastique pourrait être endommagé. Si nécessaire, nettoyez avec un chiffon ou
une éponge humide.
10. Entreposage
L’IZAR CENTER peut être stocké à un lieu sec entre -20 °C et +70 °C.
11. Faits concernant lenvironnement Lappareil ne doit pas être jeté dans les ordures ménagères. Retournez-le au
fabricant pour le recyclage.
