In some cases, the strap attached to the seat belt buckle can be too long and ride too high under the armrest, preventing the car seat from being fi xed fi rmly. If this happens,
choose another location in the car. If you have any questions relating to this issue, you should contact the manufacturer.

This seat should always be used in the forward-facing position.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE. READ THE
INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.
This car seat is suitable for children weighing 15 – 36 Kg. The car seat must be used with an adult three-point belt (with or without retractor) approved by ECE/EEG regulations, and may be used in the front or rear passenger seat (in accordance with current legislation).

WARNING
Use the adult three-point belt to restrain your child. Make sure that the lap strap of the belt goes across your child’s thighs and never across his stomach. Take care to ensure that the diagonal part of the belt is kept clear from the child’s neck area and is worn over the child’s shoulder . Tighten the belt by pulling on the lap section of the three-point belt, so that it is tight enough (without slack) see picture. Make sure that the belts are not twisted. Prevent the car seat belt from becoming trapped by the seat reclining mechanism or in the car doors.
Do not make any alterations to the seat or belts. Protect from direct sunlight as parts may become hot. The car seat MUST be changed after an accident. The user must always ensure that baggage or other items/objects likely to harm the occupant of the car seat in the event of a crash are properly secured. Never place heavy objects on the rear parcel shelf as these may be thrown about during an accident. The child restraint must not be used without the cover and this should not be replaced with any cover other than the one recommended by the manufacturer as the cover is an integral part of the restraint’s performance. Never leave your child unattended in the seat. The rigid elements and plastic parts of a child car seat must be fitted and positioned in such a way that, under conditions of normal vehicle use, they cannot become trapped under a moving seat or in the door of the vehicle. This child car seat is only effective when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Under no circumstances should you modify this car seat in any way.
Child safety in a car is paramount. More so than with any other product, a restrainingdevice (carrycot or car seat) must be properly fitted. Facing or with its back to the road,a seat should support the child‘s body perfectly, be comfortable and simple for parentsto install. From the very beginning, Dorel has been concerned about child safety, anddesigns eminently suitable seats in accordance with the latest European regulations.This device should only be used on approved vehicles which are equipped with 3 point/static/inertia reel seat belts, approved in accordance with UN/EEC regulations N °16 oranother equivalent standard. A backward-facing child safety seat must not be used ina position where there is an airbag fitted.

NOTES FOR THE USER:

  1. This is a “universal” child restraint mechanism. It is certified under the 04 amendment series to regulation N° 44 for general use in vehicles and may be adapted to most vehicle seats.
  2. The device will in all likelihood be correctly mounted on the vehicle, if the manufacturer of the vehicle specifies, in the vehicle‘s manual, that it can take “universal” child restraint systems for that age group.
  3. This child restraint has been classified as “universal” under more stringent specifications than those applied to previous models not bearing this label.
  4. In case of doubt, consult the manufacturer or retailer of the child restraint.

Care

• Before cleaning check the label sewn into the fabric, you will find the wash symbols indicating the method of washing each item.

Environment

Keep all plastic packaging materials out of reach of your child to avoid the risk of suffocation.
For environmental reasons, when you have stopped using this product, we ask that you dispose of the product in the proper waste facilities in accordance with local legislation.

Warranty

Our 24 months warranty reflects our confidence in the high quality of our design, engineering, production and product performance. We confirm that this product was manufactured in accordance with the current European safety requirements and quality standards which are applicable to this product, and that this product is free from defects on materials and workmanship at the time of purchase. Under the conditions mentioned herein, this warranty may be invoked by consumers in the countries where this product has been sold by a subsidiary of the Dorel Group or by an authorized dealer or retailer.
Our 24 months warranty covers all manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship when used in normal conditions and in accordance with our user manual for a period of 24 months from the date of the original retail purchase by the first end-user customer. To request repairs or spare parts under our warranty for defects in materials and workmanship you must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request.
Our 24 months warranty does not apply to defects caused by normal wear and tear, damage caused by accidents, abusive use, negligence, fire, liquid contact or other external cause, damage which is the consequence of failing to comply with the user manual, damage caused by use with another product, damage caused by service by anyone who is not authorized by us, or if the product is stolen or if any label or identification number has been removed from the product or has been changed. Examples of normal wear and tear include wheels and fabric worn down by regular use and the natural breakdown of colors and materials due to normal aging of the product.

What to do in case of defects:
Should problems or defects arise, your first point of contact is the authorized dealer or retailer recognized by us. Our 24 months warranty is recognized by them (1). You must present your proof of purchase, made within the 24 months preceding the service request. It is easiest if you get your service request pre-approved by us. If you submit a valid claim under this warranty, we may request that you return your product to the authorized dealer or retailer recognized by us or that you ship the product to us in accordance with our instructions. We will pay for shipment and for return freight if all instructions are followed. Damage and/or defects neither covered by our warranty nor by the legal rights of the consumer and/or damage and/or defects with respect to products that are not covered by our warranty can be handled at a reasonable fee.

Rights of the consumer:
A consumer has legal rights pursuant to applicable consumer legislation, which may vary from country to country. The rights of the consumer under applicable national legislation are not affected by this warranty.
This warranty is provided by Dorel Netherlands. We are registered in The Netherlands under company number 17060920. Our trading address is Korendijk 5, 5704 RD Helmond, The Netherlands, and our postal address is P.O. Box 6071, 5700 ET Helmond, The Netherlands.
The names and address details of other subsidiaries of the Dorel group can be found on the last page of this manual and on our website for the brand concerned. (1) Products purchased from retailers or dealers that remove or change labels or identification numbers are considered unauthorized. Products purchased from unauthorized retailers are also considered unauthorized. No warranty applies to these products since the authenticity of these products cannot be ascertained.
