About This Guide
This guide provides a brief introduction to Smart Bulb and the U home app, as well as regulatory information. Features available in smart bulb may vary by model and software version. Smart bulb availability may also vary by region or ISP. All images, steps, and descriptions in this guide are only examples and may not reflect your actual smart bulb experience.

Configure WiFi
After successfully login, please follow the steps to add smart bullbs on U home app.

Tap the “+” button or “Add Device” on home page to add smart bulb. -
Step2
Connect the bulb through the scanning or categories. -
Step3
Set up WiFi and only supports 2.4Gwifi -
Step4
Connected successfully.
Assign Location & Group to Bulb
Assigning positions and groups to smart lights can facilitate management. At the same time, smart lights in the group can also be controlled uniformly.

Name the device and put it in a group.
Configure U-tec Smart Bulb
Device Page
On device page, you can select single or multiple bulbs for your setup.
Configure U-tec Smart Bulb
Group Page and Home Page
On group page, you can control all of the devices which in the same group
simultaneously. On home page, all bulbs in the same location can be controlled
directly.
In a group page, only the type and quantity of bulbs are displayed, bulbs cannot be selected individually.

Method 1:
Click on the bulb to turn on/off the light directly. -
Method 2:
Swipe the white area to adjust the brightness of the bulb.
Reset
There are two types of reset available:

Method 1:
Power on the device, turn the light switch on and off for 5 times in quick succession until the light bulb blinks red-green-blue, that ifs been reset successfully. -
Method 2:

The device is online and connected to the app.

On the Device Settings page, tapping 11 Delete and Reset Device11 to delete the device from the App and reset it to factory default.
*On the Group Settings page, tapping 11 Delete and Reset Group11 to delete all devices of one group.
- Method 1: Turn on/off the switch for 5 times continuously
- Method 2: Reset device from app
- Method 2: Reset devices in group
Schedule
For schedule in group settings, you can set the time of light on, light off and light fade in/out time to meet your needs.
- Set the lighting time, fade in time and scene on Wake up page.
- Schedules page.
- Set the light off time and fade off on Sleep page.
Sharing Bulb
In group settings, you can share smart lights with other users via email and mobile phone number.
Notice:
- The Shared user can control all the lighting devices in this group, but can not edit the settings.
- The shared user should already has downloaded the U home app and registered a new account.
- Tab “+” to select the way to share.
- Email or mobile phone number has been registered in the U home app.

Scenes
You can set your favorite lighting for different scenes without having to adjust it every time.
Add Scenes

In the scene settings, there are 4 default scenes, which can only be edited and cannot be deleted.

The added scenes can be edited and deleted.

Step 1
Tap the “+” button to add scenes. -
Step 2
Select the bulb, color and brightnness. -
Step 3
Edit the name and image for the scene. -
Step 4
Add successfully. The icon shows the color of the light.
Edit Scenes
Select the scene you want to edit and the editing process is the same as
adding a new scene.

Tap the “Edit” button to edit scene. -

Select the bulb, color and brightness. -
Step 3
Edit the name and image for the scene. -

Edit successful.
Scene in Home Page
The Scene function can quickly switch to the required scene without entering the device.
Shortcut
- In the home page, click 11 More11 to manage the Scene. On the Scene page, there are 3 default items, and Automation has 1 default item.
- The process of creating a Shortcut is as shown below.

Edit blank scene and add bulb in “Action”. Shortcut
In the home page, click “More” to manage the Scene. On the Scene page, there are 3 default items, and Automation has 1 default item. The process of creating a Shortcut is as shown below. -

Select the state of the light. Light on/off or light color.-

Edit Scene : Edit the default item. New Scene:The added scenes. -
Swipe left to delete.

Automation
Automation enable interaction between different devices. The adding and
editing steps for automation are the same as shortcut.

FAQ
1. Can I share the bulb with family and friends?
- Yes, you can share your bulbs with family and friends who will have access to control your bulbs.
- In the U home app, tap the group settings button and click on the “Sharing” button, and you will be able to give sharing permissions.
- Shared users can control all the lighting devices in this group, but can not configure the settings.
- In order to share, the other user should already have downloaded the U home app and registered a new account.
2. What if the app can not discover the bulb?
- Make sure your app has the latest version.
- Your paired device and bulb are connected to the same 2.4G wifi network, and are within 30ft.
- Power off light and power it back on.
- If it is still not working, please factory reset your bulb.
3. What if the bulb appears offline or unreachable?
- Check the light switch and make sure that it’s switched ON. The light bulb requires an “Always On” power supply to operate.
- Make sure your WiFi router is online and in range. The range of your home Wi-Fi depends on your home router and the conditions of the room. Please check with your router specifications for the exact range information.
- Check if the password of your router is changed. If it is, please delete all the bulbs and add them to the App again.
4. What if the bulb cannot connect to the WiFi network?
- Make sure you have entered the correct WiFi password during the WiFi setup.
- Check whether there are any Internet connection problems.
If the WiFi signal is too weak to reset your WiFi router and try again.
5. What is the WiFi mesh network and how to use?
- The smart bulb, smart plug and smart switch in U-tec products can setup WiFi mesh network. In the U home app, devices in the same group will establish a WiFi mesh network.
- If this is your first time connecting smart bulb, you need to input your WiFi account and password to connect to the Internet.
- When connecting bulb, plug or switch in the future, there is no need to re-enter the WiFi account and password if in the same group.
Note : If all the devices in the group are offline, you need to input the WiFi account and password again.
6. I have a dual Wi-Fi router. How could I use it?
The bulb only works with a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, it is not compatible with 5
GHz. If your Wi-Fi is 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz Dual-band and the Wi-Fi signal is merged
together, please unmerge the signal and connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz Wi-
Fi only.
