Bright Terms & Policies

Safe Warning

1. Turn off power before installation or removal. Do not disassemble the device.
2. Operating Temperature between -4°F (-20°C) to 104°F (40°C)
3. No water resistance, indoor use only.

Setup Options

There are two options for setting up your lighting device.
Optiont: U-tec App Setup
The devices will be connected to home router, and you can access the devices with U-tec App through the Wifi mesh network
Option2: Alexa Simple Setup
Set up the devices with Amazon Echo through voice command. Use the devices with Alexa App or voice command through Bluetooth network.
Note
You need to choose one setup option, and the devices can not work in both ways at the same time.

1. Get U-tec App Ready 1.1 Search “U-tec” in APP Store (i0S) and Google Play (Android)

2. Add New Lighting Device
   Select the “+ icon in the App main interface to add the new lighting device, then follow the App instructions to finish the setup process

More Ways to Control
Bright Smart Lighting Device also supports to workwith Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, IFTTT and SmartTings when the device is setting up in the U-tec App.

Option2: Alexa Simple Setup
Suitable for users who have purchased the device from Amazon using the same Amazon account as your Alexa App, and had selected”Link to my Amazon account to simplify setup” before paying for them on Amazon shop.

1. Add the First Device
   1.1 Make sure your Alexa App s updated to the latest version.
   1.2 Power on the device near Alexa device and make sure the device flashes three times.
   If not, hard reset the device by powering it on and off 5 times.
   1.3 Say “Alexa, discover devices”, or go to Alexa App and select”+ icon to add the. device.

2. Add the Mesh Bulbs
   2.1 Set up the new device close to Alexa just like the first device.
   2.2 Power off the device and install it in the actual installation place. Make sure the device is within Bluetooth range from the near devices(within 30 feet recommended) The devices will be connected to each other and form a bluetooth mesh network.

U-tec App WiFi Mesh Network
When the devices are set up in U-tec App, al the devices in the same location will form a WiFi mesh network. This mesh network will extend the WiFi connection range without slowing down your home Wi Please note that different device groups in the U-tec App will form seperate mesh network groups.

Alexa Bluetooth Mesh Network
When the devices are setted up with Alexa Simple Setup mode, all the devices will form a bluetooth mesh network connected to Alexa.
