2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Metra Wristband Capturer is a retaining module for Metra RFID wristbands. It is integrated in different Metra MEW products such as Tripod Turnstile and Turnstile Access Terminal.
Ticket retain feature allows re-using of various tickets. For that innovative
feature Metra has developed patented in 1998 contact-less “Wristband Capturer”
(WBC) together with contactless RFID Wristband.
RFID ISO reader reads ISO 15693, ISO 14443A, ISO 14443B and Mifare compatible
RFID media. The Metra Wristband Capturer grants the exit signal only when the
ticket is successfully erased and retained. This dramatically cuts costs of
the system operation and the chance of fraud. A ticket will be retained under
following conditions:
· Retain request written on it/assigned to it. · It is presented to the
retaining device.
3 CONNECTIONS
There is a single connector dedicated to power and data (LIN) connection.
*NOTE: Pay attention not to mix MEW and CAN WBC connection.

Regulated DC power supply is required for proper operation. See chapter
“Technical Data” for power requirements. Connect the device with the supplied
cable and 4-pin connector to the control unit that controls the operation of
the entire device. For control device connector pin out details see next
chapter.
For connection on Control Device side consult appropriate Technical Manual
such as “Metra Turnstile Access Terminal Technical Manual” or “Metra Tripod
Turnstile – Technical Manual”.
