Mount Instructions

MAXIMUM WATTAGE – (1) GU-32 WATT SELF BALLASTED COMPACT FLUORESCENT LAMP (SBCFL)

1. Disconnect main power supply at the breaker box. DO NOT turn power off at the wall switch only.
   CAUTION: FAILURE TO DISCONNECT MAIN ELECTRICAL POWER MAY RESULT IN SERIOUS INJURY.

2. Using (2) stainless steel junction box screws, attach OCEANSIDE PATENTED MOUNTING CROSSBAR to the electrical box. Once secured, screw 2” threaded rod into center hole of crossbar. Proper depth will be adjusted later.

3. Using wire connectors, splice wires from box to fixture wires. Be sure to attach black to black, white to white, and ground to ground.

4. Place fixture on wall with 2” threaded rod protruding through center hole on backplate of fixture. Adjust depth of threaded rod by screwing it in so the approximately 1” of rod is left showing.

5. Secure fixture to wall by attaching nylon mounting nut to 2” threaded rod. Tighten for secure fit, but do not tighten so much that you strip the threads. Cover mounting nut with weatherproof vinyl cap.

6. Screw 1 1/2” threaded rod into decorative finial. Insert threaded rod through hole in canopy.
   From the inside of the canopy, place rubber ”O” ring, then hex jam nut on threaded rod, and tighten.

7. Place lamp in socket : Be sure not to exceed maximum wattage of 32 watts.

8. Attach canopy on top fixture and secure using (2) 8/32×3/8 matching knurled thumb screws.

9. Apply Silicone Caulk completely around the fixture backplate for a watertight seal.

10. Turn on main power.

BALLAST AND LAMP REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Product contains an integrated Lamp/Ballast combination. To remove, grasp plastic area on each side of bulb area and rotate counterclockwise. Replace with MAX 32W SBCFL(GU-24) that is marked with the UL and C, US Logo. Use SBCFL marked – Not for use where directly exposed to water. Do not use SBCFL marked – Not for use in totally enclosed luminaire.
