Charging Power Station Compatibility

The charging power station is compatible with the following models:

Instructions for Use

  1. Attach the plug prong to the power supply.
  2. Attach the power cord to the power supply.
  3. Insert the power cord into the cord receptacle at the bottom of the power station.
  4. Connect the power supply to an outlet.
  5. To remove tool inserts, release the back tab on the tool insert and pull upwards.
  6. Place the clipper, trimmer, or shaver in the correct tool insert on the power station.
  7. The power station’s Wahl logo will indicate standby or an error condition.
  8. The power station can charge three Wahl units simultaneously and supply power to a USB device from the USB-C port.

Before First Use

Before using the charging power station for the first time:

  • Charge the clipper, trimmer, or finishing tool for at least 2 hours.
  • Recharge the unit only when its performance has deteriorated noticeably.

No, the charging power station is specifically designed for use with Wahl cord/cordless clippers, trimmers, and shavers only.

2. How many Wahl units can be charged simultaneously?

3. How do I know if the power station is in Eco-Mode?

In Eco-Mode, the power station’s Wahl logo will not illuminate. You can activate Eco-Mode using a suitable tool to press the Eco-Mode button at the bottom of the stand.

  • This appliance is to be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance.
  • Using other cords with the charge stand may cause serious injury from electric shock.
  • Do not use if the appliance has been dropped, damaged, has a damaged cord, has a damaged power supply, damaged plug, has fallen into liquids, or if it is not working properly.
  • Only use the power supply provided with the appliance.
  • Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and similar objects
  • Never drop or insert any object into any opening of the appliance unless specified to do so in this Instruction Book.
  • Make sure the power supply uses the appropriate plug prongs for the country of use.
  • Never attempt to remove power supply plug prongs while the appliance is charging.
  • Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  • Always attach the plug to the appliance first, then to the outlet.
  • Keep this appliance dry.
  • Do not expose or store the appliance at temperatures below 0°C (32°F) or above 45°C (113°F). Avoid direct exposure to sunlight.
  • Follow all charging instructions and do not charge appliances outside of the temperature range of 0-45°C (32-113°F). Charging improperly or at temperatures outside of this specified range may damage the battery and increase the risk of fire.
  • Only replace defective power supply units with original spare parts which you can order via our service centers.
  • Do not use attachments not specified by the manufacturer.
  • Do not hold the appliance by the main cable to carry it, and do not use the cable as a handle.
  • When disconnecting the appliance from the mains, never pull on the mains cable or on the appliance itself.
  • Do not wind the main cable around the appliance.
  • Keep the mains cable and appliance away from hot surfaces.
  • Make sure that the mains cable is not twisted or kinked when charging or storing.
  • Use this appliance only for its intended use as described in this manual.
  • During use, do not place or leave the appliance where it is expected to be subject to damage by animals or exposed to weather.
  • Do not use outdoors or operate while aerosol (spray) products are being used.

CAUTION! DANGER FROM AGGRESSIVE CHEMICALS Aggressive chemicals could damage the appliance and accessories.

  • Never use solvents or scouring agents.
  • Only use cleaning agents and blade set oil recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Hygienic spray and blade set oil are available from your dealer or our service center.
  • Only wipe the appliance with a soft, slightly damp cloth.

USING

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS FOR
COMMERCIAL USE ONLY

The charging power station can be used with 8504L1 and 8591L1 cordless clipper models; 8171L and 8172L cordless trimmer models; and 8173L shaver models. POWER STATION ONLY TO BE USED WITH WAHL CORD/CORDLESS CLIPPERS, TRIMMERS, SHAVERS, TOOL INSERTS AND POWER SUPPLIES. Tool inserts included: 3 clipper inserts (A), 2 trimmer inserts (B), and 1 shaver insert (C).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  1. Attach the plug prong to the power supply. (D)
  2. Attach the power cord to the power supply. (E)
  3. Attach the power cord to the cord receptacle located at the bottom of the power station. (F)
  4. Next, attach the power supply to the outlet.
  5. Attach three of any combination of the clipper, trimmer, and shaver inserts into any of the three receptacles on the power station. Place tool inserts over charging pins and press down to snap into place. To remove the tool insert, release the back tab on the tool insert and pull upwards. (G)
  6. Place the clipper, trimmer, or shaver in the correct tool insert on the power station so the nameplate faces forward. (H)
  7. The power station’s Wahl logo will glow blue when the stand is powered and ready to deliver a charge.
  8. The power station’s Wahl logo will flash red when the stand is connected to an incompatible power supply or cord (See Troubleshooting for more information).
  9. Eco-Mode: To help reduce power consumption, the power station can be placed in Eco-Mode which disables accessory features of the stand. To enter Eco-Mode use a suitable tool (i.e. paper clip, sim card tool, etc.) to actuate the Eco-Mode button through the hole on the bottom of the stand (I) while the station is plugged in. While in Eco-Mode the Wahl logo will not illuminate. To exit Eco-Mode, unplug the power station for 30 seconds and then plug it back in.
  10. The power station can charge three Wahl units at a time, as well as supply power to a USB device from the USB-C port on the side of the stand. (J)

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before the unit is used for the first time in the charging power station; the clipper, trimmer or finishing tool should be charged for 2 hours. Recommendation: The clipper, trimmer, or finishing tool should only be recharged when the performance of the unit has deteriorated noticeably.

TROUBLESHOOTING

If your charging power station does not seem to be operating or charging properly (Wahl logo flashing red), please check the following:

  • Check the outlet’s current by plugging another appliance (one you know is in proper working condition) into the outlet.
  • Make sure the charging power is not connected to a power source that turns itself off when the lights are turned off.
  • Make sure each unit and charging power station contacts are clean and free of hair or other contaminants. If you still encounter problems with your charging power station, send your charging power station, power supply and power cord to a Wahl service center with a note explaining the problem.
