- The unit transmits in the frequency band 77 to 81 GHz with a max. transmission power of 3 dBm.
- Due to radio frequency exposure limits this device should be instated and operated with a minimum distance of 20 an between the device and the body of the user or nearby persons.
- The device emits radio waves that may interfere with the operation of electronic devices in the vicinity, Including pacemakers, hearing aids and defibrillators. If you have a pacemaker or other implanted medical device, do not use the sensor without first consulting your doctor or the manufacturer of your medical device. Keep a safe distance between the device and your medical products and refrain from further use of the device if you observe permanent impairment of your medical devices.
Open air Installations (LPR, Level Probing Radar)
This device when fitted with the antenna extension E33705 complies with ETSI
EN 302 729 and EN 62311.
For open air installations, restrictions exist in several EV and EFTA member
states in the proximity of Radio Astronomy sites. Locations of Radio Astronomy
sites completely or partially using the same frequency band as LW2120 (77 to
81 GHz) vary over time. Therefore, the Installer and the user of LW2120 is
obligated to check if their installation location is affected.
The current list of Radio Astronomy sites including their corresponding operating frequencies may be found at www.craf.eu. The following restrictions apply to affected installation locations:
- Install at a separation distance of > 4 km from Radio Astronomy sites measuring at 77-81 GHz, unless a special authorization has been provided by the responsible National regulatory authority.
- Between 4 km to 40 km around any Radio Astronomy site the LPR antenna height shall not exceed 15 m height above ground.
Closed tank installations (TLPR, Tank Level Probing Radar)
- This device without the antenna extension complies with ETSI EN 302 372 and EN 62311.
- The device must be installed in closed tanks (metal, reinforced concrete tanks or similar enclosure structure made of comparable attenuating material). Install according to requirements in ETSI EN 302 372 (Annex E).
