Safety Alert Symbols and Words

This instruction manual uses the following safety alert symbols and words to alert you to hazardous situations and your risk

  • DANGER : Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury
  • WARNING : Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury
  • CAUTION : Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury (Used without word) Indicates a safety related message.

  14. Align the battery pack with the guides inside the speaker battery port.

  15. Slide it in until the battery pack is firmly seated and ensure that you hear the lock snap into place. Be sure that it does not disengage.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Heed all warnings.
  2. Follow all instructions.
  3. Do not use this apparatus near water.
  4. Clean only with a dry cloth.
  5. Do not block any ventilation openings. Use in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
  6. Do not use near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  7. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus.
  8. Only use attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.
  9. Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
  10. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled, or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  11. Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing, and no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
  12. Do not use under wet conditions or in the presence of flammable liquids or gases.
  13. Do not keep ears close to this appliance.

Safety Instructions for Speakers

  1. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.
  2. Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the speaker by its cord. Never pull the cord to disconnect from the socket. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, and sharp edges.
  3. Remove the battery pack. Switch off the device before leaving it unattended. Remove the battery pack when not in use, before changing accessories or attachments, and before servicing.
  4. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
  5. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  6. No exposed flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the speaker.
  7. To reduce the risk of hearing damage, do not place ears too close to the speaker.
  8. The mains plug is used as the disconnect device; the disconnect device (plug) shall remain readily operable.

Using Supplied AC Power Adaptor

CAUTION:

  1. Always disconnect the AC power adaptor completely before moving the speaker. If the AC adaptor is not removed, it may cause an electric shock.
  2. Never pull and/or drag the cord of the adaptor. If not, the speaker may accidentally fall down, causing injury to you or someone around you.
  3. The mains adaptor is used as the means of connecting the speaker to the mains supply. The mains socket used for the speaker must remain accessible during normal use.
  4. In order to disconnect the speaker, the mains adaptor should be removed from the mains outlet completely.
  5. Do not hold the power supply cable and plug by your mouth. Doing so might cause an electric shock.
  6. Do not touch the power plug with wet or greasy hands.
  7. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of electric shock.
  8. After use, always store the AC power adaptor out of the reach of children. If children play with the cord, they may suffer injury.

NOTE:
Ensure the specification of your external device, such as a mobile phone or player, is compatible with the speaker. Please read the instruction manual of your external device before charging.
IMPORTANT:
The charger may not supply power to some USB devices.
When not using or after charging, remove the USB cable and close the cover.
Do not connect a power source to the USB port. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire. The USB port is only intended for charging lower voltage devices. Always place the cover onto the USB port when not charging a lower voltage device.
Do not insert a nail, wire, etc., into the USB power supply port. Otherwise, a circuit short may cause smoke and fire.
Do not connect this USB socket with your PC USB port, as it is highly possible that it may cause a breakdown of the units.
