Features Introduction

Guide to set static IP of WLAN dongle
The static IP setting function for WLAN dongles is designed for situations where static IP must be required. The required equipment includes WLAN Dongle (with firmware version V1.6 or higher version ),PC with Windows OS, an Ethernet cable, Inverter. Follow the steps below to proceed with the setting. Step 1: Connect the WLAN dongle to the Inverter, then connect the dongle to the PC via an Ethernet cable. When the IP indicator light on the dongle starts blinking while the WLAN-Router indicator is solid, it indicates a successful connection.

Step 2: Press the Windows and R key simultaneously, then type “control” in the Open field of the Run window and click on the OK button to open the Control Panel interface.

Click the “Network and Internet” then click the “Network and Sharing Center” in the network settings page.

Click Ethernet, a status window will pop up.

Click Properties, select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

Select “Use the following IP address” then fill in the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway as shown in the image, then click OK twice (once in the IPv4 properties, once in the Ethernet status) to complete the setup.

Step 3: Enter 192.168.1.100 in the browser to access the WIZwiki-W7500 Web Server Network Information page.

Step 4:On the IP setting section of that page, change the “Auto” item from DHCP Client to DHCP Disable.

Step 5: Change the IP to the fixed IP of the on-site router, for example, use 192.168.1.161 in this case.

After completing the settings, click on Save. At this moment, the inverter will restart, and the IP indicator light on the dongle will change from blinking to solid.

NOTE: If the dongle is in DHCP mode, you can access the configuration page through 192.168.1.100. However, if the dongle is in static IP mode and has been assigned a specific IP address, you need to enter the assigned fixed IP address path to access the configuration page. For example, if this dongle is set to the fixed IP 192.168.1.161, entering 192.168.1.100 to access the configuration page won’t work; you’ll need to input 192.168.1.161 instead.

Step 6: Connect the dongle to the router. If the IP indicator light stays solid immediately after connecting, it indicates successful configuration, and you just need to wait for the network connection to be established. If the IP indicator light continues to blink after connecting, it means the IP was not sent successfully, and you need to repeat steps 3 to 5.
