Get your Apple ID ready for purchases or downloads on your Apple TV

If you see “No iTunes Store account” on your Apple TV, you need to follow the steps below on your iOS, Android, macOS, or Windows device so that you can download apps, subscribe to streaming services, and make purchases with your Apple ID.

If you have an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, open the Settings app.
2. Tap Sign in to your [device], then enter your Apple ID and password.
3. Follow the onscreen steps to agree to the Terms and Conditions and update your Apple ID.
4. If you’re already signed in on your Apple TV, try to download or make your purchase again on your Apple TV. Need help signing in?

If you have an Android device

1. On your Android device, open the Apple Music app. You can download the Apple Music app from the Google Play Store.
2. Tap the More button  , then tap Sign In.
3. Enter your Apple ID and password.
4. Follow the onscreen steps to agree to the Terms and Conditions and update your Apple ID.
5. If you’re already signed in on your Apple TV, try to download or make your purchase again on your Apple TV. Need help signing in?

If you have a Mac

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences.
2. Click Sign In, then enter your Apple ID and password.
3. Follow the onscreen steps to agree to the Terms and Conditions and update your Apple ID.
4. If you’re already signed in on your Apple TV, try to download or make your purchase again on your Apple TV. Need help signing in?

If you have a PC

1. On your PC, download iTunes for Windows from the Microsoft Store.
2. In the iTunes app on your PC, choose Account > Sign in.
3. Enter your Apple ID and password.
4. Follow the onscreen steps to agree to the Terms and Conditions and update your Apple ID.
5. If you’re already signed in on your Apple TV, try to download or make your purchase again on your Apple TV. Need help signing in?
