Product Usage Instructions

Set Up

  1. Add oil:
    Recommended: 10W-30, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500 ml). DO NOT overfill.

  2. Move the generator outdoors:
    Move the generator to an open, outdoor area. Point exhaust away.
    Never run a generator in enclosed areas.
    Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from the generator to prevent the ignition of combustible materials.

  3. Add fuel:
    DO NOT use E15 or E85 as fuel.

Start Up

  • NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!

FAQ

  • Q: Can I use any type of oil in the generator?
    A: It is recommended to use 10W-30 oil, up to 16.9 fl. oz. (500  l). Using other types of oil may affect the performance of the generator.

  • Q: Can the generator be operated indoors?
    A: No, the generator should always be operated outdoors in a well-ventilated area. Operating indoors can lead to carbon monoxide poisoning and other hazards.

  • Q: What should I do if the generator does not start?
    A: Check the oil and fuel levels, ensure the spark plug is working, and follow the starting procedure outlined in the manual. If issues persist, contact customer support for assistance.

Set Up

  1. Open shipping carton. Assembly > Unpacking

  2. Shipping Support. Assembly > Remove Shipping Support Hardware.

  3. Add oil. Assembly > Add Engine Oil.

  4. Move the generator outdoors
    Move the generator to an open, outdoor area. Point exhaust away. Never run a generator in enclosed areas (e.g., not in the house or garage).
    Keep all objects at least 5 feet (1.5 m) from the generator. Heat from the muffler and exhaust gas can ignite combustible materials.

  5. Add fuel. Assembly > Add Fuel
    DO NOT use E15 or E85.

  6. DO NOT plug in any electrical devices.
    NEVER START OR STOP THE GENERATOR WITH ELECTRICAL DEVICES CONNECTED OR TURNED ON!

  7. Turn the EZ Start dial to the full choke position.

  8. Pull the recoil to start the engine.

  9. Turn the EZ Start dial to the RUN position

  10. Plug in. Operation > Connecting Electrical Loads.
