INSTALLATION
- Typical Shallow Well Install Only.
- The depth of shallow well pump limit 0-25 ft.
For Driven Point or Surface Water application, please see the installation instruction on owner’s manual.
Notes:
- Read your manual for installation, operation, and safety information.This guide neither supplements nor replaces the Owner’s Manual.
- Pump clear water ONLY with this pump.
- Ensure the electrical power supply is adequate for the pump.
- This pump is designed for indoor installation only
- The well pump used for well must be mounted with either a pre-charged or conventional type tank for automatic operation, If pump is being used as alawn sprinkler or irrigation pump for continually running, you MUST wire the motor direct to make pressure switch for automatic operation not work. In this case, no pressure tank is needed.
- slopes all inlet piping slightly upward from well to the pump to prevent trapping air.
PUMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS
To change from 230V to 115V
- The motor is 115/230 Volt single phase and pre-wiredat 230 volts.
- If the power supply is 115 volts, remove the rear coverof motor.
- Slide the switch to show 115 Volt.
- Replace the rear cover of motor.
Wiring The Pressure Switch
- Remove the pressure switch cover on the pump to expose the wiring terminals.
- Connect the green ground wire of the power supply to the switch ground terminal.
- Connect the power supply wires to the two outside terminals and replace the switch cover.
PUMP PRIMING&STARTUP
CAUTION:
All pumps must be primed (filling the cavity with water) before they are first operated. This may take several gallons of water, as the suction line will be filled in addition to the pump cavity

Remove the priming plug from the tee.

Fill pump cavity with water until full and all piping.Then Replace priming plug.

Open the faucet closest to the pump/tank a small amount to allow air to escape the system . Now start the pump.

Pump is properly primed,Water is flow from the faucet. Then close the faucet the pump will stop after a while.

Opening a faucet or two , Run the pump through one or two complete cycles to verify correct operation.
TROUBLESHOOTING
-
Problem: Pump humming, No water
Check toggle switch setting and wiring (See detailed Installation on owner’s manual). -
Problem: Pump running, Not push water
Open the priming tee to check to be sure water in pump cavity and pipe stays constant. If water level goes down, it could indicate a leak in the foot valve or the water lever lower the foot valve, check valve and water lever or suction pipe.

Problem: Pump starts and stops frequently
Check tank (See detailed Installation on owner’s manual).
