WARNING

Warning: This system is designed for race use only, Moy also void the vehicle monufoc­turer’s warranty, Allow the truck’s exhaust system to cool before removal. Always practice safe work ho bits, i.e. jock stands, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
Notes: Performance Exhaust Systems are designed to fit stock trucks with DEM hitches, tires, wheels, and spore sizes, Any suspension lifts or other variations may require modification of the new exhaust system for proper fit and finish. Place clomps on connections before installing pipes, Do not tighten clomps until the complete system is in place, Snug clampdown so it will hold the pipe but the pipe can still be moved, WD4D or equal will make removal of hangers easier. A small tock with a mig welder is recommended on all clomp connections,
INSTALLATION NOTES
Note: Prior to installation, please compare the ports that you have received with the bill of materials listed above to ensure that you have all the necessary ports for installation,

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTION

  • Step 1:
    Remove the factory skid plate by loosening the 4 8mm bolts and 1 11mm nut.

  • Step 2:
    Remove all 9 sensors from □PF and SCR systems and tie them up out of the way.

  • Step 3:
    Loosen the bolt on the clamp holding the muffler  and mid-pipe together then remove the two hangers attached to the front of the truck as shown in figure A-1 [the hanger supporting the muffler will be reinstalled for the new system) and then remove the rearmost hanger that supports the tailpipe shown in Figure A-2.

  • Step 4:
    Remove the 3 bolts in the flange in the middle of the factory system, now you ore □ble to carefully twist the SCR pipe and the factory muffler/tailpipe assembly to release the slotted locator nub and pull the two pieces apart remove the SCR pipe from the truck. See Figure 8-1

  • Step 5:
    Remove the two nuts at the turbo connection using a 75mm socket and then remove the factory downpipe section from the truck.

  • Step 6:
    Install the downpipe [port# 31831) and snug the nuts up so that the pipe can be moved with some effort.

  • Step 7:
    Install intermediate pipe (port #31842) sliding the hanger into the factory is color os you connect to the downpipe, This connection should have 1.25″ of over­lap and your clomp should seat right on the edge of the expansion, See figure C-1

  • Step 8
    Install pipe #31515 into the hangers on the frame (one you removed previously)0epending on your specific truck you may have one or both hangers present on the frame. See figure C-2

  • Step 9:
    With pipe #31515 in place, you can now measure the gap between it and pipe

    31842 to determine the amount of extension pipe #40020 you may need to trim

    off for a perfect fit. Note: Always allow for overlap at each end of a pipe before trimming.

  • Step 10:
    With extension pipe and #31515 in place, you con now install the muffler and support with an o stand,

  • Step 11:
    Now carefully fit the tailpipe #31517 from the rear, over the axle. Both hangers will have to be inserted at the same time as the muffler. (this can be tricky and may require some force to manipulate the muffler onto the toil pipe. (manipulation of the spore tire heat shield may be required for increased clearance around the new tailpipe)

  • Step 12:
    Check for overall alignment of the system and then starting at the turbo, tighten all bolt sand clomped connections,
