GOAL ZERO Venture 30 Power Bank

Venture 30
Venture 30 is a portable power bank designed to charge USB-powered devices like smartphones, tablets, POV cameras, and headlamps on the go. It comes with an internal lithium battery of 7,800 mAh, which provides long-lasting power. Venture 30 is weatherproof and shock-proof, which makes it an ideal companion for outdoor activities. It also features a 65 lumen flashlight that doubles as a battery level indicator.

Product Usage Instructions

Step 1: Plug Me In

Before using Venture 30, plug it into a live USB source using the built-in cable. When you receive a new Venture 30, it will be in protective shipping mode to prevent self-discharge. Each blue indicator light represents 20% battery capacity. Blue indicator lights will flash according to how quickly Venture 30 is charging. A slow flash indicates a slow charge, while quicker flashing indicates faster charging. Venture 30 is full and ready to go when all lights are pulsing together.

Step 2: Get to Know Your Gear

Use the built-in cable to charge your USB-powered devices. Press and hold the Battery button for approximately five seconds to activate the smart charge sequence. The blue indicator lights will begin to flash as different profiles are automatically tested with your gear. When the lights finish flashing, the fastest profile has been selected. We recommend running the smart charge sequence anytime you experience slow charge times or when plugging in new gear.

Step 3: Charge Your Gear

To charge your gear, plug it into Venture 30’s USB port. The blue indicator lights will flash according to how quickly your gear is charging. A slow flash indicates a slow charge, while quicker flashing indicates faster charging. If you’re experiencing slow charge times, run the smart charge sequence and ensure Venture 30 is fully charged.

Step 4: Solar Ready

Venture 30 allows for pass-through power so you can charge your gear and Venture 30 at the same time. When Venture 30’s battery is dead, the first blue indicator light will flash when the Battery button is pushed. To charge Venture 30 using solar power, angle your Nomad panel toward the sun and plug in the built-in cable into the USB port on the back of the Nomad panel. The blue indicator lights will illuminate and pulse. Venture 30 is full and ready to go when all lights are pulsing together.

With these usage instructions, you can use Venture 30 to keep your USB-powered devices charged on the go. Venture 30 is an ideal companion for any outdoor activity or travel, ensuring that you always have access to power when you need it.

CHARGE YOUR GEAR

Venture 30 is designed to charge POV cameras, phones, tablets, and other USB- powered devices.

  1. Using your charging cable, plug into Venture 30’s USB ports – they’ll both work at the same time at 2.4A so you can share power with a buddy.
  2. If your device charges from micro USB, use the built-in cable.
  3. The blue indicator lights will flash according to how quickly your gear is charging. A slow flash indicates a slow charge, while quicker flashing indicates faster charging. If you’re experiencing slow charge times, run the smart charge sequence (see next section) and ensure Venture 30 is fully charged.

SMART CHARGE SEQUENCE

Venture 30’s advanced smart charging feature allows you to optimize and adapt its USB outputs to charge your gear as fast as possible. This sequence runs independently for both USB ports – meaning you can set different charging profiles for each port. Fastest profiles will be applied and saved until reset or the sequence is run again.

  1. With your gear plugged into Venture 30’s USB port, press and hold the Battery button for approximately 5 seconds to activate the smart charge sequence.
  2. The blue indicator lights will begin to flash as different profiles are automatically tested with your gear.
  3. When the lights finish flashing, the fastest profile has been selected.

HOW IT WORKS: You might have noticed if you plug your device into a charger claiming a high output yourdevice still charges slowly. How quickly your device charges comes down to communication between the charger and what you plug in. Every device has its own preference when it comes to charging, the challenge is identifying the language used by the manufacturerto decode that preference. Venture 30’s smart charging feature acts as a translator, identifying your device’s language, decoding and applying the fastest charging profile possible, without overcharging or overheating. This feature makes Venture 30 one of the most compatible chargers on the market. We recommend running the smart charge sequence anytime you experience slow charge times or when plugging in new gear.
