INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Larson® Limited Lifetime Warranty
For Purchases Delivered on or After January 1, 2024.
The Larson warranty applies to the original purchaser of owner-occupied homes
for products purchased and installed in the USA or Canada.
DOOR FRAME:
Larson warrants the door frame and mounting frame to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, paint adhesion, or workmanship, under normal use, for the period listed above.
COMPONENTS:
Larson warrants the components of the door including, but not limited to handleset, closer, glass frame, retainer strips, transition plate and lock body, to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, tarnishing and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original retail purchase.
RETRACTABLE SCREEN (SELECT MODELS): Larson warrants the retractable screen assembly to be free from defects in manufacturing, materials, and workmanship for a period of five years from the date of original retail purchase.
STORM DOOR WARRANTY LIMITATIONS:
- Warranty only applies to original homeowners of owner-occupied residential properties and covers manufacturer’s defects.
- Proof of purchase required for all warranty claims.
- Modification of door will void warranty.
- Damage or breakage to the screen fabric or glass pane are not covered.
- Acts of nature including wind damage and flooding are not covered.
- Damages resulting from improper installation or misuse are not covered.
- Labor cost and reinstallation fees are not covered.
- Water damage due to lack of rain diversion or structural overhang is not covered.
- Frame damage caused by installations within 5 miles of a body of salt water, chemicals, or airborne pollutants such as salt or acid rain are not covered.
LIMITED WARRANTY ’S EXCLUSIVE REMEDY:
In the event the product or any components fail to meet this limited warranty, and upon written proof of purchase, Larson’s sole obligation (as Larson elects) is to either: provide replacement component(s) to the Warranty Holder or Larson’s dealer designated (color-matching not guaranteed), repair the component(s) (color-matching not guaranteed), or refund the Warranty Holder’s purchase price, either in whole or in part. (Not to exceed the lesser of the original product/component purchase price or the original catalog list price.)
Repaired or replaced components are warranted only on the same terms and for the remainder of the Warranty Period. Larson reserves the right to discontinue or change any product, specification, warranty, or price without notice. If the product or component is unavailable, Larson may select and provide a replacement product or component of equal quality and price. This is the Warranty Holder’s sole and exclusive remedy for the product under this Limited Warranty. By example, but not limitation, this Limited Warranty does not cover any of the following costs and expenses: (i) labor for removing, reinstalling, or refinishing product (or other materials that are removed, reinstalled, or refinished to repair or replace the product); (ii) shipping/freight expenses to return the product to Larson; (iii) normal maintenance; (iv) consequential, special, or indirect losses or damages of any kind.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
In no event will Larson be liable for incidental, consequential, indirect,
special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to damage of any kind
to a premises, loss of product use, reinstallation, labor, removal,
refinishing, temporary/permanent relocation of residents or property, loss of
profits/revenue, interest, lost goodwill, work stoppage, impairment of other
goods or work, increased operating expenses, emotional distress claims or
claims of third parties for such damages, whether based on contract, warranty,
tort (including but not limited to, strict liability or negligence or
otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damage). Some
States/Provinces/Territories do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may
not apply. This limited warranty provides specific legal rights, but the
Warranty Holder may have other rights which vary by location. If this limited
warranty is deemed to have failed of its essential purpose, in no event will
Larson’s entire liability exceed the lesser of the products or the non-
conforming component’s purchase price.
Warranty claims made one (1) year after the delivery date, if different from
the purchase date, are subject to a shipping and processing fee.
