PROPER GROUNDING IS REQUIRED FOR SAFETY. WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ONLY A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN INSTALL, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN THIS PRODUCT. WARNING:

USER SHOULD BE TRAINED IN THE PROPER USE AND MAINTENANCE OF THIS DEVICE. THIS LINE CORD IS INTENDED TO ALLOW OPERATORS TO EXTEND POWER TO EQUIPMENT WHEN STATIONARY OUTLETS ARE NOT READILY AVAILABLE. IMPROPER USE OF THIS CORD, PLUG, AND RECEPTACLE CAN LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURIES OR DEATH TO PERSONNEL. PERIODIC INSPECTION OF THE CORD IS NECESSARY. THE CORD MUST BE ROUTINELY CHECKED FOR CUTS, BREAKS, OR ANY SEVERE ABRASIONS, AND IF ANY ARE FOUND, THE CORD MUST BE REPLACED BEFORE RESUMING USE.

Infrared Warning

  • INFRARED LIGHT MAY CAUSE DAMAGE TO EYES IN VERY INTENSE CONCENTRATIONS.
  • RISK OF EYE DAMAGE AT SHORT DISTANCES. TURN LIGHT SOURCE OFF BEFORE SERVICING.
  • WARNING : Consult a qualified electrical professional/electrician to install this device in accordance with appropriate local and NEC codes and regulations.
  • WARNING : Do not connect line voltage wires to low voltage terminals!
  • WARNING : Device is suitable for installation in wet locations; GFCI protection recommended.
  • WARNING : Although fixture is waterproof, it is NOT designed or intended to be submerged.
  • WARNING : Do not allow line voltage wires to become submerged!
  • WARNING : Edges may be sharp, handle with care.
  • WARNING : If unsure about any part of these instructions, consult a qualified electrical professional.
  • All outdoor installations and indoor installations near a wet location require the use of a GFCI device for safety,according to the National Electrical Code® (NEC).
  • If dropped or damaged, the unit may no longer be waterproof and should be replaced.
  • To avoid hazards to children, account for all parts and destroy packing materials.

The LEDB-4-IR from Larson Electronics is a Permanent Mount Infrared LED Beacon that works on 12-32 volts DC. This LED Beacon offers a choice of colors and is designed to provide a high power signal with a full 360 degrees of visibility.

WIRING

We strongly encourage a licensed electrician install this product, in all locations especially in outdoor areas where weatherproofing may be required. Universal voltage driver permits operation at 12-32V DC.

Low Voltage DC

Connect power to power supply outputting low voltage between 12-32 Volts DC. This variable voltage allows greater versatility without affecting light output. Ensure deutsch connectors are properly connected (If applicable)

Installation

  1. Mount the beacon in your desired location. The unit mounts via 3 screw holes located on the base and includes a gasket for secure placement.
  2. Attach power cord via deutsch 2-pin connector.
  3. Connect power cord to power source outputting correct voltage, 12-32V DC.
  4. The LED beacon will illuminate once power is supplied. If not, double check all connections.

DETACHABLE CORDS

  • Power cord is attached via a weatherproof 2-pin Deutsch connector.
  • The cords are detachable by depressing the tab on the top of the connectors. This enables the operator to leave the cord connected to the power source and remove to store the light.
  • Cords can be ordered from our website. We offer 16 foot coil cords with a cigarette plug (C-16-CC-CP), 21 foot cords with ring terminals (C-21- RT), 16 foot cords with battery clamps (C-16-BC), 16 foot straight cords with cigarette plugs (C-16 CP), and 16’ cords with flying leads. Power transformers (DCP-11-DP) can be purchased through our website to run this LED light from household wall outlets.

MAINTENANCE

There are no serviceable parts inside the fixture. However, it is good practice to routinely clean and check the fixture for proper function.

  • Disconnect power running to the lamp and be sure the fixture is cool to the touch.
  • Use a non-abrasive glass cleaning solution to clean the lens.

Note : It is not necessary to open the fixture and clean or touch the LED’s.

USE AND CARE

Unauthorized modification may impair the function and/or safety of this device and could affect the life of the equipment. Always check for damaged or worn out parts before using the device. Store it in a secure place out of the reach of children when not in use. Inspect for good working condition prior to storage and before re-use.
