Product Usage Instructions

  1. Setting Up the Camera:

  2. Download App: Get the Tapo app from the App Store or Google Play.

  3. Power Up: Plug in the adapter to power up your camera.

  4. Set Up: Tap the button in the app and select your model. Follow app instructions to complete setup.

  5. Mounting Instructions:

  6. Mark Position: Place the mounting template where you want the camera. For wall mounting, drill two holes through two circles.

  7. Mount Base: Affix the camera base using the screws. For wall mounting, insert two anchors into the holes and use the screws to affix the camera base over the anchors.

  8. Secure Camera: Attach the camera on the base and rotate to secure the camera.

  9. LED Indication:

    • Solid red: Starting up
    • Blinking red and green: Ready for setup
    • Blinking red slowly: Connecting to Wi-Fi
    • Solid amber: Connected to Wi-Fi or wired network
    • Solid green: Connected to the cloud
    • Blinking red quickly: Camera resetting
    • Blinking green quickly: Camera updating
  10. Resetting the Camera:
    To reset the camera, tilt the camera lens up to find the RESET button. While the camera is powered on, press and hold the RESET button to reset the camera.

    To enable local recording, insert a microSD card into the microSD card slot and initialize it on the Tapo app.

  12. Network Connection:
    To connect to your router, plug an Ethernet cable into the LAN Port of the camera.

    • Press and hold for 10 seconds: Reset to factory settings
