Product Usage Instructions:

Installation of Float Switch on Drain Pan:

  1. Disconnect power to unit at main panel and low voltage
    thermostat circuit.

  2. Loosen the three thumb screws and slide the float switch onto
    the side of the pan at the lowest point.

  3. Tighten the thumb screws to secure the switch in place.

  4. Secure switch wires to prevent interference with float
    operation.

Wiring the AG-1200+ in a Conventional HVAC System:

  1. Ensure power is disconnected at the main panel.

  2. Test switch responsiveness by filling the pan with water to
    verify the switch stops the unit before overflow.

  3. Place the ATTENTION sticker on the unit for visibility.

  4. Inspect, clean, and test the device every 180 days and after
    cleaning the drain line.

Wiring the AG-1200+ in a Communicating HVAC System:

Refer to the equipment manufacturer’s recommendations for
specific wiring instructions.

Wiring the AG-1200+ Magnetic Float Switch

Failure to read and comply with all warnings, cautions and instructions prior to starting installation may cause personal injury and/or property damage and void warranty.
Remove electrical shock hazard ­ DISCONNECT THE POWER BEFORE INSTALLATION to avoid electrical shock and/or equipment damage. Do not use on circuits exceeding 24 volts to avoid damage to switch, shock or fire hazard.
NNOOTTIICCEE In any installation where property damage and/or personal injury might result from an inoperative switch due to power outages, a back-up system(s) and/or alarm should be installed.
NNOOTTIICCEE The AquaGuard AG-1200+ must only be installed by or under the direct supervision of a licensed contractor. Condensation pan must be properly maintained after installation and be kept free from foreign objects, rust or other obstructions that might interfere with the proper operation of the AquaGuard float switch.
STOP/READ This device must be installed in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. This unit must be in accordance with all applicable local plumbing, drainage and electrical codes.
STOP/READ Clean surface with alcohol pad before mounting with adhesive tape.

INSTALLATION OF FLOAT SWITCH ON DRAIN PAN:

(To ensure proper performance of product, instructions must be followed.)

1. Disconnect power to unit at main panel. Disconnect power to the low voltage

thermostat circuit.

2. Loosen the three thumb screws (fig.1). Unscrew the top thumb screw until the

clamp separates.

3. Slide the float switch onto the side of the pan at the lowest point on the pan.

4. Finger tighten the top thumb screw first, then the bottom two.

5. Secure switch wires so they will not affect the operation of the float.

WIRING THE AG-1200+ in a Conventional HVAC System:
(To ensure proper performance of product, instructions must be followed.) 1. Ensure the power is disconnected to the unit at the main panel prior to moving to step 2. Refer to the
appliance manufacturer’s installation and operating instructions and also review wire layout in their instructions. 2. Locate the red wire coming from the 24 volt thermostat “R” terminal. 3. Disconnect or cut red wire. Connect the Normally Closed non-ribbed wire of the switch, using a wire nut, to the thermostat side of the circuit. Connect the Common ribbed wire of the switch, using a wire nut, to the air handler side of the circuit or to terminal in unit. Incorporating both switch wires in the red circuit will shut the unit completely off. 4. Test the switch. (At start-up, check initial amperage load.) A. With unit on, test switch by pulling the float pin up. (fig. 2)
Unit should stop running if switch is correctly wired. B. To test switch responsiveness, fill pan with water to ensure that the switch stops the unit before the pan
overflows. Remove water. 5. Place the ATTENTION sticker on unit in a clearly visible location. (fig. 3)

Unit is equipped with an AquaGuard condensate shut-off switch. If A/C unit is not operating, check for condensate in drain pan or tray.
Inspect, clean and test the device every 180 days and following each cleaning of the drain line.

ADVERTENCIA El fracaso de no leer toda las precauciones, advertencias e instrucciones antes de comenzar la instalación puede causar riesgo de lesiones personales y/o daño a su propiedad y podrá perder su garantía.

ADVERTENCIA Desconecte la electricidad antes de instalar AquaGuard para evitar un posible corto circuito o daño al producto. No debe utilizarce en circuitos que excedan 24 voltios para evitar daño al interruptor, golpe eléctrico o riesgo de fuego.

NOTAR En cualquier instalación donde haya riesgo de lesiones personales o a su propiedad debido a un interuptor inoperante, se debe correjir con un sistema de alarma.
NOTAR El AquaGuard debe ser instalado por un contratista licenciado o bajo la supervisión directa de un persona adecuada. La bandeja de condensacion debe ser mantenerse en buenas condiciones despues de la instalacion y mantenerla alejada de objetos extranos, oxido u otras circunstancias que puedan interferer con el buen funcionamiento del dispositivo de AquaGuard.

DETENER/LEER Este dispositivo debe ser instalado en conformidad con las instrucciones del fabricante. Esta unidad debe estar conforme con todos los códigos de instalación de cañería, desague y códicos eléctricos.

INSTALACION DEL INTERRUPTOR DE FLOTA EN LA BANDEJA DE DESAGUE:

(para asegurar el buen funcionamiento del producto, se deben seguir correctamente las siguientes instrucciones):

1. Desconecte la electricidad del interruptor de la caja eléctrica principal. Desconecte el poder a bajo voltaje en el

circuito del termostato.

2. Afloje los tres tornillos de pulgar (fig.1). Desatornille el tornillo de pulgar superior hasta

que la abrazadera se separe. 3. Deslice el interruptor de flotador sobre el lado de la cacerola en el punto más bajo en
la cacerola.

4. El dedo aprieta el tornillo de pulgar superior primero, entonces los dos inferiores. 5. Asegure los alambres del interruptor así que no afectarán a la operación del flotador. (fig.1)

CABLEADO DEL AG-1200+:

(para asegurar el buen funcionamiento del producto, se deben seguir correctamente las siguientes instrucciones):

1. Asegure que la electricidad esta desconectada antes de seguir las próximas instrucciones. Refiérase a las instruc-

ciones de instalación de la unidad del aire acondicionado o la refrigeración y también revise la disposición de

alambre de revisión en su manual de instrucciones.

2. Localice el cable rojo que proviene de los terminales del termóstato (circuito de enfriamiento) “R” de 24 voltios.

3. Desconecte o corte el alambre rojo. Conecte el cable no crucería del aparato, usando una tuerca de alambre, al lado

del termostato del circuito. Conecte el cable del interruptor de crucería, con una tuerca para cable, a un lado el

ventilador de aire del circuito o terminal en la unidad. La incorporación de los cables del interruptor en el circuito

rojo se apagará completamente la unidad.

4. Pruebe el interruptor. (Al arrancar compruebe la carga del amperaje inicial)

A. Pruebe el interruptor levantando el flotador mientras la unidad este puesta y/o encendida. (fig.2) La unidad

debe parar de funcionar si las conecciones de alambres al interuptor estan correctamente instaladas.

B. A la cacerola del terraplén de la sensibilidad del interruptor de prueba con agua para asegurarse de que el inter-

ruptor pare la unidad antes de que desborde la cacerola. Quite el agua.

5. Ponga el stike de ATENCION en una locacion visible y clara. (fig. 3)
