Product Usage Instructions

Installation:

  1. Clean the floor sink of debris and grime build-up within the throat of the drain.
  2. Determine the appropriate size Guardian Dome-D-Lock to be installed: 2, 3, or 4.
  3. Once size is determined, follow the specific installation instructions provided for your chosen model.

Monitoring the Dome-D-Lock:

  1. Ensure that the Dome-D-Lock is properly secured and locked. It should only need to be removed for sanitation purposes.
  2. If cleaning is required, use hot soapy water and a plastic brush to clean any built-up grime or debris. For thorough cleaning, wash it by hand or run it through your dish machine.
  3. Before re-installing, inspect all parts to ensure they are in good condition.
  4. Monitor that your Guardian Dome-D-Locks are secured/locked in place once a month to guarantee protection of your drain pipes.

Installation Instructions

TOOLS NEEDED:

The following tools to properly secure the Guardian Dome-D-Lock:

  • 3/8″ Ratchet
  • 3/8″ Ratchet Extension
  • Tamperproof Torx Key (GDLT40 for 2″ and GDLT45 for 3″ & 4″ drain locks)
  • Rag

HOW TO INSTALL

  1. Clean the floor sink of debris and grime build up within the throat of drain. (Photo #1)

  2. Determine the appropriate size Guardian Dome-D-Lock to be installed: 2″, 3″ or 4″. Once size is validated, place the Dome-D-Lock in the hole of the floor sink.
    Note: If the drain lock has too tight of a fit, the rubber banding can be removed.

  3. Assemble the ratchet, ratchet extension and tamperproof key. Determine which tamperproof key will be needed to secure the desired Dome-D-Lock. GDLT40 key for 2″ and GDLT45 for 3″ and 4″.

  4. While holding down the Dome-D-Lock with one hand, insert the driver and key into the tamperproof bolt and tighten (clockwise) until firmly secured. Do not over tighten. (Photo #2)

MONITORING THE DOME-D-LOCK

  1. Once the Dome-D-Lock is properly secured and locked, there should be no need to remove it other than for sanitation purposes. As needed, use hot soapy water and a plastic brush to clean any built up grime or debris. If the Dome-D-Lock is to be removed for cleaning, wash it by hand or run it through your dish machine. Before re-installing, make certain all parts are in good condition.
  2. Monitor that your Guardian Dome-D-Lock is are secured/locked in place once a month to guarantee protection of your drain pipes.
