- Product Name: EZ Trap EZT224 Overflow Switch
- Description: The EZ Trap EZT224 overflow switch is a compact threaded switch designed to provide overflow protection by threading into the fitting on secondary drain pans. It includes a 3/4 male threaded street ell, float switch assembly, and a 72-inch cable.

- Applications: The overflow switch can be threaded into the fitting on secondary drain pans.
Product Usage Instructions
- Screw the 3/4 Threaded Slip Street Ell (A) into the 3/4 drain pan overflow outlet.
- Press fit the Float Switch Assembly (B) into the opening at the top of Street Ell (A). Do not use glue. Check that the Actuator Arm and Float move freely inside Ell.
- Press the plug end of the Modular Cable (C) into the Float Switch Assembly (B).
- Attach the provided service and cleaning labels as indicated.
Note: Insulation is required when installing the trap in an unconditioned space where sweating can occur.
Wiring Instructions
- Turn off the electrical power at the main panel before installing the EZ Trap switch.
- An in-line fuse is necessary to protect the 24V circuit.
- Connect the Float Switch according to the provided wiring diagram.
- Test the system for proper operation by lifting the float.
Operating Procedure
If a blockage occurs in the condensate drain line, the float will lift to
stop the operation. To reset, press the center button on the switch.

Description
EZ Trap EZT224 overflow switch with 3/4″ male thread is designed to thread
into fitting on secondary drain pans, providing overflow protection.
Includes: 1″x 3/4″ male threaded street ell, float switch assembly, 72″ cable.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Install in accordance with RectorSeal® instructions as well as all applicable local plumbing, drainage and electrical codes.
- Insulation is required when trap is installed in unconditioned space where sweating can occur.

Overflow Switch Assembly Instructions

Screw Street Ell (A) into 3/4″ drain pan overflow outlet.

Press fit Float Switch Assembly (B) into 1″ opening at top of Street Ell (A). DO NOT USE GLUE.
Check that Actuator Arm and Float moves freely inside Ell. -
Press plug end of Modular Cable (C) into Float Switch Assembly (B).

Note : Wiring diagram shown cuts power to thermostat when float switch operates to stop operation of the A/C unit. To inhibit mold growth during long absences, connect terminals into yellow cooling circuit so when float switch operates, condenser will switch off but fan will continue running.
