Charging
-
Make sure the cradle’s power adapter is connected to the cradle and a power outlet.
-
Align the charging pins on the mobile computer or battery to the pins in the charging slot, and then insert the mobile computer or battery into the slot.
NOTE : You must first remove the hand strap from the mobile computer before inserting a mobile computer into the charging slot. You do not have to remove the protective boot from a mobile computer to be able to insert it into the charging slot.- Note: Remove the hand strap from the mobile computer before inserting it into the charging slot. The protective boot can remain on.
-
Check if the mobile computer or battery is charging:
-
For terminal charging cradles:
Check the mobile computer’s screen to see if the battery is charging. -
For 1-slot or 4-slot battery charging cradles:
Check to see if the LED indicator for the respective charging slot lights up solid red. When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator will illuminate solid green. NOTE: A blinking green/red LED indicator indicates that there is a charging error.
-
Linking Cradles
- Up to five charging cradles can be linked at once.
- A group of linked cradles can only support one 4-slot battery charging cradle at a time.
- Only connect one adapter to a group of linked cradles at a time, connecting multiple adapters may cause damage.
Step 1
Align each cradle you want to link side-by-side in the sequence you prefer so
that their logos are oriented in the same direction.
NOTE: If you are linking a 4-slot battery charging cradle, ensure that
the cradle is positioned at the very right side (when the logos are facing
you) of the lineup of cradles.
Step 2
Flip each cradle over to reveal their bottom side.
NOTE: After flipping double-check to see if the stickers on the bottom of
each cradle are in the same direction to ensure that all the cradles are
oriented correctly.
Step 3
Remove the four screws from the two brackets On the bottom side of each
cradle.
Step 4
Slide both brackets on each cradle outwards in the same direction until the
six screw holes on the inner side of the brackets line up to the screw holes
on the opposite side of the cradle.
Step 5
- Remove the covers for each cradle-to-cradle connection port that is adjacent to another cradle.
- On the outermost cradle connect a cradle-to-cradle connector to the cradle-to-cradle port adjacent to the neighboring cradle.
Step 6
- Push the neighboring cradle up against the cradle in the previous step so that its cradle-to-cradle port connects the other end of the connector and the brackets slide into its compartment.
- Fasten the twelve screws on the brackets linking the two cradles together.
Step 7
Repeat steps 3 to 6 for any remaining cradles that you want to link. Once you
have linked all the cradles, remove the two brackets that extend past the
linked cradles.
Step 8
Connect a power adapter (*must be purchased additionally) to the adapter port
of any one of the cradles in the lineup based on the following requirements:
- For a group of three or less terminal cradles and/or 1-slot battery charging cradles, you can connect either a 45W or a 120W power adapter to charge.
- For a group of either four or five terminal cradles and/or 1-slot battery charging cradles, a 120W power adapter is necessary to charge.
- For any group of cradles that feature a 4-slot charging cradle, a 120W power adapter is necessary to charge.
[OPTIONAL] Use the power adapter port and/or cradle-to-cradle connection port covers to cover any open ports.
Switching Sleeves
For mobile computer or single-battery cradles, the sleeve can be switched to
accommodate future models. To do so, remove the four screws securing the
sleeve in place, switch the sleeves, and then re-install the screws.
Safety Information
- To prevent any damage, malfunction, harm, and/or injury from occurring:
- Do not incinerate or short-circuit the cradle.
- Do not throw, drop, or strike the cradle.
- Only use the original adapter provided by the manufacturer for charging.
- Use only a dry soft cloth to clean the terminals on the cradle. Cleaning with a wet cloth or benzene/thinner/other volatile chemicals may deform and shorten the lifespan of the terminal’s shell.
- Avoid charging for a long duration of time. After any device is fully charged, disconnect the adapter from the power supply or remove any devices/batteries from the cradle.
- Warnings for 4-slot battery charging cradles:
- When charging in a high-temperature environment, flashing red and green LEDs indicate circuit protection mode, not an abnormality. The battery will not fully charge when it is in temperature protection mode. If the LEDs have been flashing red and green for over 30 minutes, the battery has a charging abnormality.
- When charging in an environment of over 45 °C, the charger will activate a protection mode that keeps the battery only charged to 80% to keep the battery healthy and avoid battery swelling.
- Operating Temperature: 0°C – 45°C
- Voltage Rating:
- 45W Adapter: DC 19V, 2.37A
- 120W Adapter: DC 20V, 6A
