National Guard Products 780S Surface Mounted Automatic Door Bottom
DIMENSION
WARNING: Do not pull the drop bottom bar out of the case or damage will occur and void the warranty.
Installation Instructions

For single doors cut the door bottom on end without adjustment block 1/8″ shorter than the distance between stops on the frame. For pairs cut 1/16″ shorter than the distance between stops on the frame and the meeting edge of the door. Maximum cut door bottoms 36″ and longer = 4″, shorter than 36″ should not be field cut, order net length.

With the door closed, position it on the push side of the door with an adjustment block toward the hinged edge. Align the bottom of the case flush with the bottom of the door and 1/16″ clearance at each end, and mark screw holes.

Drill pilot holes for screws using a 7/64″ drill bit.

Install with screws provided. Do not over-tighten.

Adjust for proper seal. Pull out adjustment block clear of aluminum housing. Firmly hold the threaded rod and turn the adjustment block right to reduce seal drop or left to increase seal drop. Maximum drop = 1/2″.
WARNING: Adjusting beyond 1/2″ maximum drop will cause damage and void the warranty. -
The end cap with holes should be mounted to the door at the hinge side end to hold adjustment once set. Install as illustrated above with screws provided. A blank end cap may be installed at the other end on single doors only if desired.
