Dash-cam D16X
1 The installation of this product requires a certain amount of handson
ability. If the customer is not good at installing it by himself, it is
recommended to go to the local car dealership and seek professional guidance
for installation.
2 Please turn off the power of the motorcycle before installation, and restart
the motorcycle after the installation is completed.
3 The motorcycle power box needs to be opened during installation, please
prepare the corresponding tools by yourself.
4 The installation process is not complicated, please check the installation
guide carefully and connect each accessory with the dash-cam.
5 Motorcycle models are different. Customers can choose a suitable location to
install the host, camera, power source, and GPS modules according to their own
models. When installing, please pay attention to the socket of the cable, and
do not use too much force to damage the interface. Please arrange the wiring
reasonably, do not squeeze or fold, so as not to damage the cable.
6 When installing GPS, try to avoid installing it in a place surrounded by
metal, which may a ect GPS signal reception.
7 The camera is fully sealed and waterproof. Avoid using solvents such as
alcohol and asphalt cleaning agent to contact the lens, so as not to damage
the waterproof layer.
8 Do not wash the dash-cam with a high-pressure water gun for a long time to
prevent water from entering the host.
9 Do not cut o the power when the system rmware is being upgraded
10 The safety voltage of this dash-cam is 36V, which can be applied to all
motorcycle types (usually the voltage of the motorcycle battery is 12V).
However, for some electric motorcycles, the battery voltage is as high as 60V
or more, which has exceeded the voltage of the dash-cam, and may burn out the
dash-cam host. If it is to be installed and used on an electric motorcycle, a
voltage converter is required.

1. Pre-installation Preparation
Please carefully check each package to con rm that all accessories are
complete.
Before installation, please turn o the motorcycle power and then turn it on
after the installation is completed.
Prepare the necessary tools to disassemble the motorcycle.
Customers can choose a suitable location to install the main unit and
accessories based on their motorcycle model. If customers are not skilled at
installing the equipment themselves, they can consult with professionals at
local motorcycle shops for guidance on installation.
2. Installation
2.1 Install the Host
Choose one of the Dash-cam Fixed Support (1 or 2), place a Rubber Pad on it, and x the main unit in the appropriate position at the front of the motorcycle. Which Dash-cam Fixed Support to use can be decided based on the desired installation position.

2.2 Install the Front Camera and Rear Camera
Take out the Cameras, and take out the Installation Tools.
Insert the Front Camera (shorter wire) into the Camera Bracket, and install
it in the front of the motorcycle. The triangle symbol
on the camera
represents the forward direction. The bottom of the camera bracket can be
xed with stickers.
If you are concerned about the stability of the bracket, screws can be added on both sides of the bracket, but this may damage the appearance of the motorcycle, so please choose carefully. It is recommended to use stickers to x the bracket.
The installation method for the rear camera is the same as the front camera.
After installation, connect the wires of the front and rear cameras to the Dash-cam.

Use heat shrink tubing to further enhance waterproo ng. The heat shrink tubing
in the accessory bag can be put on the connection between the lens and the
host. After heating, the heatshrinkable sleeve will shrink and stick to the
joint, which can further enhance the waterproof e ect.

2.3 Install the Dash-cam Power Supply
Take out the Dash-cam Power Supply. The power supply has an output port and an
input port. The output port has two wires, the blue wire is connected to the
GPS and the red wire is connected to the dash-cam. The input port has three
wires, colored red (positive), black (negative), and yellow (ACC). Connect the
red and black wires to the positive and negative terminals of the motorcycle,
respectively. Connect the yellow wire to the ACC in the motorcycle fuse box.
How to nd out which one is the ACC wire in the motorcycle fuse box
Customer can use the auxiliary tool —- ACC Detection Wire Take out the ACC
detection wire, wrap the black wire around the metal body of the motorcycle,
and use the red wire to touch the metal on top of the fuse. After the
motorcycle is powered on, if the LED light on the ACC detection wire lights
up, turn o the motorcycle. If the LED light goes out, then the fuse you tested
is the ACC wire for your motorcycle.
2.4 Install the GPS Modules
Take out the GPS Modules and connect it to the Dash-cam Power Supply.
After installation, start the motorcycle, and the Dash-cam will automatically

2.1 Video Recording Interface
The video recording interface displays the surveillance footage captured by
the camera in real time.
After the motorcycle is powered on, it will automatically enter the video
recording interface.

1.1 Power Key
Short press to turn on/o the one-button driving function, and long press to
turn it o .
1.2 TYPE-C
This port is a data port. After the host enters the menu and selects to enter
U disk mode, it can connect to the computer through the Typc data cable to
read video les. This port is also a power supply port. Before installation,
you can supply power to it through the Typc power supply cable to check
whether the host can boot normally.

Special Note:
For the One-button Driving Function, short press the power button to turn
on/off the one-button driving function. The icon turns green to indicate
successful activation. After it is turned on, the touch screen will not be
disturbed by rain on rainy days. It is a must-have function for traveling on
rainy days!
The Tire Pressure device needs to be purchased separately. The tire pressure
monitoring function is only e ective after the device is connected.
2.2 HUD Interface
The HUD interface displays various values of the motorcycle, allowing
customers to understand the status of the motorcycle more clearly. In the
video recording interface, swipe right to switch to the tire pressure HUD
interface. The tire pressure HUD interface can display tilt angle, speed, tire
pressure(Requires separate purchase), altitude, air pressure, time, etc.

2.3 Description of straight-line racing functions
In the recording interface, slide left or right twice to switch to the
straight-line racing function interface.
The drag racing feature is divided into two modes:
(1) 0-100km/h mode: Click the GO icon, the countdown will start after 5
seconds and end when the riding speed reaches 100km/h. The time taken will be
recorded and then automatically ranked.
(2) 0-400m mode: Click the GO icon, the countdown starts after 5 seconds, and
ends when the ride reaches 400m. The time taken is recorded, and then
automatically ranked.

2.4 My Journey Function Description
Swipe left in the recording interface to switch to the My Journey interface.
In the My Journey interface, click “Start” to start recording a journey’s
information, and click the “End” button at the end of the journey. , you can
record a journey. Up to 5 journeys can be recorded. Note that the “Start” and
“End” buttons are clickable in the white state and will turn green after being
clicked.
Data recorded in the [Total Journey] interface: (1) Total mileage: the total distance covered in all trips. (2) Time: How long all journeys took. (3) Average speed: average speed across all journey rides. (4) Highest altitude of any trip. (5) Maximum bending angle: the maximum bending angle on the left and right. (6) : The highest speed on all journeys.
[Journey 1-Journey 5] Data recorded in the interface: (1) Mileage: the distance traveled during the journey. (2) Time: How long the journey took. (3) Average speed: the average speed during the trip. (4) Highest altitude. (5) Maximum bending angle: the maximum bending angle on the left and right. (6) Maximum speed: the maximum speed during the journey.
2.5 Video playback interface
The video playback interface can delete, lock, and unlock the captured videos.

When exiting the mass storage mode, there is a return key operation in the host mass storage page. After clicking return, the recorder can switch to the normal working mode.

2.6 U disk reading function
There is a USB disk mode function option in the host menu. After selecting the mass storage mode, you can connect to the computer through a Type-c data cable. The DeepMoto disk will appear on the computer. After clicking to enter, you can download the corresponding video file in the corresponding folder. The host cannot be operated in the mass storage mode, you need to exit before you can operate the host.

3.Menu interface and function introduction
3.1 USB Mode
U disk mode function, select the mode to charge the host or read the host
memory function:
Charging mode – select the function to charge the host. Mass storage mode –
After selecting, you can connect to the computer through a Type-c data cable
to read the video les saved by the host.
3.2 Screen Saver
Set screen saver time: 10 seconds/30 seconds/1 minute/o , default is 30
seconds. There is no operation in the recording interface. After 30 seconds,
the screen will automatically enter the HUD interface.
3.3 System Volume
After clicking System Volume, you can adjust the volume, and the progress bar
can be slid left or right. Default is 80% volume.
3.4 Preview Mirror Image
After opening, the camera screen will become a mirror image, which is open by
default.
3.5 Format
The memory card can be formatted. After formatting, the memory card will be
cleared, so please operate with caution.
3.6 Loop Recording
The driving recorder will automatically perform loop recording when the
motorcycle is started. The loop recording time can be set: 1 minute/3
minutes/5 minutes/o . The default loop recording time is 1 minute.
Special Note:
After the motorcycle is started, the driving recorder will automatically
record and loop, and the loop time can be set.
For example, if it is set to cycle once a minute, the front and rear cameras
will cycle and save the recording every 1 minute until the memory is used up.
After the memory is used up, recording will continue and the oldest recording
will be overwritten when saving.
If the video is locked, the video will not be overwritten.
Note: The locked video les recorded under the parking surveillance video can
be overwritten in a loop. If the video is needed, download it to your mobile
phone as soon as possible and save it.
3.7 WiFi
Set to turn on or o the WiFi function, the default is on. When WiFi is turned
on, a wireless signal will be emitted with the name: “Deepmote_XXXXX”.
Customers can connect to the WiFi signal on their mobile phones, and after
connection, they can manage video les on the mobile App.
3.8 Parking Monitoring
The parking monitoring function is a function that after the motorcycle is turned off and the driving recorder senses that the motorcycle has been hit, it will automatically hide and start recording for 15 seconds. This function is o by default and can be divided into four options: high / medium / low / o according to the vibration intensity.

3.9 GPS
Set the GPS function on or o . The default is on. Driving track and speed

The default time zone is Beijing time in the East Eighth District, with a
total of 24 time zones. Select the corresponding time zone according to di
erent geographical locations. After selection, the GPS will display the
corresponding time according to the selected time zone.
3.11 Microphone
Set the microphone to be turned on or o , the default is on. When turned on,
sound can be recorded during video recording.
3.12 Language
There are Simpli ed Chinese/Traditional Chinese/English/Japanese, and the
default is English.
3.13 Date Stamp
This option is turned on by default. When turned on, the driving recorder will
display time, speed, longitude and latitude, tilt angle and other information
in the lower right corner of the video when recording. If you do not need to
display time watermark information in the video le, you can turn o this
option.
3.14 Tire Pressure
(Requires separate purchase)
Tire pressure needs to be matched before normal use. This function can pair the front wheel and rear wheel, and can also clear the paired front wheel/rear wheel device number.
3.15 Horizontal Calibration
Calibrate the driving recorder horizontally. During calibration, please
straighten the motorcycle.

Restore the driving recorder settings to the factory default settings. If the
machine has a tire pressure function, you need to re-pair the tire pressure
after restoring the factory settings.
3.18 Device Information
Displays the version information of the current machine software, WiFi name,
WiFi password, WiFi MAC, Bluetooth MAC, WiFi MAC is the machine’s unique
identi cation code.
3.19 Audio Channel
You can select the sound playback channel. When set to local playback: the
sound is played and output from the host of the driving recorder. When set to
Bluetooth earphone playback: the sound is played and output from the Bluetooth
earphone connected to the mobile phone
3.20 Speed unit
Speed unit, set the speed unit to “Kilometers” or “Miles”.
3.21 Daylight Saving Time
Daylight saving time, set to turn daylight saving time on or o .
3.22 Tire Pressure Unit
Set the tire pressure unit to “bar” or “PSI”.

The screen mirroring function of Apple mobile phones uses CarPlay screen mirroring, and Apple mobile phones come with CarPlay software.
How to use CarPlay Screen Casting on iphone?
Step 1: Find Bluetooth Signal
Enter the phone settings, turn on the Bluetooth function, and find the
Bluetooth signal “Deepcam-xxxx”.
Step 2: Connect Bluetooth.
Connect the Bluetooth signal. When connecting for the first time, click
Connect. A prompt box for using CarPlay will pop up. Make sure to click “Use
CarPlay”. After a while, you will automatically enter the screen casting
interface and start using the screen casting function.

(1) How to use? After entering the screen projection interface, you can touch
the screen to operate navigation, play music and other functions, or wake up
Siri through the intelligent voice “Hey, Siri” for voice control.
(2) How to return to the host? Return to the host: When sliding from right to
left, a return icon will appear. After clicking, it will return to the host
interface; or click the “DeepCam”

Special Note: Note 1: Siri intelligent voice function needs to be turned on on
the mobile phone to use it. Note 2: After successfully connecting to Carplay
once, when the driving recorder host is turned on, it will automatically
connect to the WiFi and Bluetooth of the Apple phone. The connection will take
some time. After the connection is completed, it will automatically enter the
screen casting state. Note 3: If you don’t want CarPlay to automatically
connect when you turn on the dash-cam, you can turn o the Bluetooth function
of your phone, or click on the Bluetooth signal to enter and then turn o
CarPlay to exit the screen projection function. Note 4: The color of the
Bluetooth icon on the host: Green: Indicates that a mobile phone has connected
to the Bluetooth signal. White: No mobile phone to connect.
2.Android Phone –Android Auto
(1) Screencasting steps
Step 1: Connect the mobile phone to the machine WiFi
Enter the mobile phone settings and connect to the machine WiFi signal. The
machine WiFi signal name is DEEPMOTO_D16X_XX, and the initial password is
12345678.
Step 2: Connect the mobile phone to the machine Bluetooth
In setting up Bluetooth and pairing with new devices, nd the Bluetooth signal
connection starting with Deepcam. After a while, you can automatically enter
the screencasting interface and start using the screencasting function.

At the bottom of the “Recording Interface”, click the “Menu” icon in the lower
left corner to enter the settings interface. In “Device Information”in
“Settings 2”, you can view the machine WiFi name and Bluetooth name.(As shown
in the following gure)

(3) Hidden function: When sliding from right to left, a return icon will
appear. Click to exit the screencasting interface directly.

(2) After entering the screencasting interface, you can touch to operate
navigation, play music, make calls and other functions.

(4) After the machine is turned on for the second time, the mobile phone
screen can be automatically connected back. After the machine is turned on, if
the mobile phone WiFi and Bluetooth are turned on, it will automatically
connect and enter the screen casting state. If the mobile phone’s WiFi and
Bluetooth functions are not turned on, they need to be turned on before they
will automatically connect and enter the screen casting state. Note that it
takes some time for the Bluetooth signal to automatically reconnect. You need
to wait for a while after turning on the phone before it will automatically
enter the screen casting state.
(5) When other mobile phones want to connect to the machine to use the screen
mirroring function, pay attention to the Bluetooth icon on the machine; if the
icon is green, it means that a mobile phone has occupied the Bluetooth signal.
The mobile phone connected to the Bluetooth signal needs to turn o the
Bluetooth function or choose to ignore the machine Bluetooth. , then the
Bluetooth icon will turn white, and other mobile phones can connect normally.

1. Application Introduction
Customers can download recorded videos to their mobile phones through the APP
to facilitate video editing and sharing.
Deepmoto’s dash-cam has different models and functions, but there is only one
corresponding app, that is, the app is universal for all models.
The app has a mainland China version and an international version. The app
name of the mainland China version is “Deepmoto”, and the app name of the
international version is “Philo Deepmoto”. No matter whether you download the
mainland version or the international version, the functions of the app are
the same.
2. App Installation Method
There are two ways to install the app in mainland China
(1) Search for “Deepmoto” in any application store of the mobile phone, nd the
application, download and install it. (2) Download and install by scanning the
QR code.
There are two ways to install the international version of the App
(1) Search for “Philo Deepmoto” in the Google Play application store, nd the
application, download and install it. It should be noted that the mobile phone
must rst install the Google Play application store. (2) Download and install
by scanning the QR code.
3. App WiFi Connection
After the dash-cam is turned on, search for the signal named “Deepmoto_
D16X_XX” in the WiFi signal of the mobile phone and connect it. Enter the
password “12345678”. After the connection is completed, return to the App
interface, and the name of the connected WiFi will be displayed at the bottom
of the interface.

Note:
When connecting to WiFi for the first time, a security prompt box will pop up,
please click to “Decline” the connection, otherwise the connection will fail
and the App will not be available. If the connection fails due to wrong click,
please try to restart the dash-cam and restart the WiFi.

4. App function introduction
4.1 Album
Click the album to view the downloaded videos and pictures, click Edit in the
upper right corner to edit and share the videos and pictures.
Click on the GPS to view the map and driving track. The Chinese interface uses
Baidu Maps, and the English interface uses Google Maps. Please pay attention
to the usage environment.
4.2 Video Monitoring
Click the WiFi name to enter the real-time video monitoring interface. The ashing red light in the upper left corner of the video indicates that the camera is recording.

4.3 Video Download

4.4 Setting
In the video monitoring interface, click the setting in the upper right corner
to enter the setting interface. WiFi password can be modi ed in this
interface. Other functions are relatively simple and will not be described
again.
5. System Upgrade
There are two types of system upgrades, one is dash-cam host firmware upgrade,
and the other is App software upgrade.
Host Firmware Upgrade
It is mainly to upgrade the software system and operation of the dash-cam
host. Click “Host Firmware Upgrade” under the setting interface, and the host
will enter the rmware upgrade state. During the upgrade process, the power
cannot be cut o . Power failure may cause the host program to crash and cannot
be turned on.
App Software Upgrade
It is mainly to upgrade the App application software interface and functions.
To upgrade the App software, customers need to update or reinstall the App in
the App Store.

Dash-cam Host-related Issues
Touch screen function does not work
Check whether the one-key driving icon in the status bar is turned on (the
icon is green when turned on). If it is turned on, please short press the
power button to turn o the one-key driving function. The touch function can be
used normally.
After the motorcycle is started, the dash-cam does not turn on / the
dash-cam always displays the logo and cannot be turned on normally. a. Check
whether the line connection is normal, and rule out whether the ACC
contact is loose. b. If there is no problem with the ACC contact, check
whether the position of the
power cord connector is tightly inserted. c. Pull out the power cable and
check whether there is water in the connector. d. If there is no problem, it
may be that the power cord is abnormal and needs to
be replaced.
Abnormal phenomena such as crash occurred in the dash-cam.
Long press the power button to shut down and restart the dash-cam.
No GPS signal detected.
Check whether the GPS connection is normal, and there should be no
interference around the GPS. Drive the motorcycle outside and check again.
The HUD interface shows that other GPS information is normal, but the
speed is 0 Try to update the software, download the latest APP version, and
upgrade the host rmware.
Camera and Video Related Issues
The dash-cam video monitoring interface displays a black screen
Check whether the camera connection is normal, re-plug the camera, if the
problem still exists, replace a new camera.
Video is blurry.
Check the camera for dust, please wipe the camera.
Video has no sound.
Check if the microphone is o .
There will be stripe electromagnetic interference or purple stripe
electromagnetic interference in the video displayed and recorded by the host.
a. Check whether there is any problem with the camera wiring. b. When wiring,
please run it smoothly, do not fold it and keep a certain margin. c. When
tying the wiring, please do not tie it too tightly or squeeze it too tightly
with the car shell.
Application and WiFi Related Issues
The WiFi connection is not working properly.
Check whether WiFi is turned on. After turning it on, WiFi will appear green
in the status bar.
App crashes.
Check the APP version number, download the latest App, and upgrade the dashcam
rmware.
