QUICK TIPS

Whistling or squealing from your device?

Try these steps

  • Turn on the device after inserting the device in your ear.
  • Place your finger on the microphone while inserting and removing the devices from your ear.
  • Choose a dome that fits your ears. Larger domes generally help reduce whistling.
  • Place the devices firmly in your ears.
  • Reduce the volume.

Low or no volume from your device?

Try these steps:

  • Ear domes or the wax guard may be blocked.
  • Clean out any debris from the ear domes, receiver area with the cleaning brush provided.

Hearing device not powering on or is not charging.

Try these steps:

  • Insert the amplifier correctly and gently into the charging base.
  • If the display lights do not turn on while charging (blinking or solid), remove the hearing devices from the charging base and look to ensure that the golden pins (2 pins) inside the charging base are popped up and in functioning order. You may push the pins down a few times with your fingers to pop the pins up to try and get it to proper working order.

Trouble adjusting to new sounds.

Try these steps:

  • It can take time to adjust to your new hearing devices, sometimes up to several weeks. If you aren’t comfortable wearing hearing devices all day, try wearing them for a few hours at a time and gradually work up to longer use.
  • Sounds may seem loud or different. You may also notice background noises that you haven’t heard before. As your brain learns to recognize and filter out these sounds, they’ll become less apparent over time.
  • You might need to experiment with different volume settings in new environments. Over time, you’ll find settings that work for you and won’t need to adjust them as often.
