Push air through a vein with a syringe to check for kinks or blockages.
Notes
- Heat arm skin before replacing on mandrel. This can be done with a hair dryer.
- Male arm skin includes a thumb piece.
Care & Maintenance
- Clean the arm with mild soap and water after each training session and perform a general inspection regularly.
- Flush veins with water and then air using a slip-tip syringe. Disinfect when needed with a mild solution of bleach and water followed by flushing with air.
- If using a deltoid injection pad (water only), squeeze water from the foam pad after each training session. Allow pad to air dry before reinsertion into the skin. Dust with corn starch to aid insertion. Pads may be soaked in a mild solution of bleach and water to prevent mildew or mold. Do not store wet foam pads in the skin.
Cautions
- Do not submerge arm or other parts in cleaning fluid or water.
- Avoid using colored plastic gloves as they may discolor the arm skin. Do not use felt-tipped markers, ink pens, acetone, iodine, or other staining material near the arm. Take care not to place the arm on printed paper, newsprint, or colored paper. Staining may be permanent.
