Warnings and Cautions

Care, Maintanance and Cleaning
- Keep the manikin clean and in a hygienic condition.
- Replace the airway filter after every class, especially if mouth to mouth resuscitation is practiced.
- Change the airway assembly if there are visible signs of wear or damage to lung or metal patch.
- We recommend that you use a separate Laerdal Manikin Face for every student.
- If several students use one manikin face, thoroughly sanitize the manikin face after every use.
- Clean all skin parts regularly. Use warm soapy water or Laerdal manikin wipes.
Notes
- These can discolor the manikin:
- Pigments from lipstick and pens
- Latex gloves
- Using manikin clothes not supplied by Laerdal
- Friction between the leaf spring and torso may cause small fragments to appear in and under the manikin. This is part of normal function and does not damage the product.
Cautions
- Do not use liquids to clean inside the manikin.
- Do not submerge any parts.
- Do not remove the spring plate rope.
Battery
The following battery types are recommended:
- Non-rechargeable alkaline batteries, LR6 1.5 V AA
- Rechargeable NiMH batteries, HR6 1.2 V AA
Warnings
- Batteries must be replaced with correct type
- Do not use batteries with a nominal cell voltage higher than 1.5 V.
- Remove batteries if product is not to be used for an extended period
Notes
- If the device is used with rechargeable batteries, the “Low battery warning” deviates from normal behavior
- Internal charging is not supported

Caution: Changes or modifications not expressly approved by Laerdal Medical could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. The term “IC” before the equipment certification number only signifies that the Industry Canada technical specifications were met.

with Council Directive 2011/65/EU on restriction of the use of certain
hazardous substances (RoHS).

UKCA (U.K. Conformity Assessed): This product complies with the requirements
of U.K. legislation of Radio Equipment Regulations (S.I. 2017/1206). UKCA
(U.K. Conformity Assessed): This product complies with the requirements of

Waste Handling
The QCPR Sensor contains electronic components. Dispose of it at the
applicable recycling facility in accordance with local regulations This
appliance is marked according to the European directive 2012/19/EC on Waste
Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE). By ensuring this product is
disposed of correctly, you will help prevent potential negative consequences
for the environment and human health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product. The symbol on the product, or on
the documents accompanying the product, indicates that this appliance may not
be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to the
applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment. Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local environmental
regulations for waste disposal. For more detailed information about treatment,
