How to use the charger

To start charging

  1. Make sure that the wall charger is powered.

  2. Connect the plug (Type 1 / Type 2) to the car.

  3. Press the button on the side panel to start charging.
    To stop charging:

  4. Press the button on the side panel to stop charging.

  5. Disconnect the plug (Type 1 / Type 2) from the car.

  6. Put the plug back on the holder.

Before installing and using this device, please read the following safety precautions and instructions.

General Provisions

Green Cell GC PowerBox charger (hereinafter referred to as device, charger, charging station) is a de­vice designed to charge electric vehicles and plug- in hybrid vehicles. It is prohibited to use the device for any other purpose or to use it with vehicles that are not intended for this purpose.
IMPORTANT I Assembly, installation, disassembly, or servicing of this device must be performed by personnel who are trained, authorized, and familiar with local standards and regulations. Different standards and regulations may apply depending on the country or region.The electrical installation, electrical protection and the working environment in which the equipment is to be used must be suitable for the technical specifications and intended use of the equipment and must comply with the standards and regulations in force in the place of installation.

  • Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged or suspected of being damaged, or if it indicates any critical malfunction.
  • If the device is damaged, it can be repaired only by the manufacturer or authorized personnel. Unauthorized modification or interference with the construction, electronics or software of the device is prohibited.
  • Failure to comply with any of the above points will void the warranty and may result in damage to the device, the electrical system or the vehicle.
  • Improper use of the device by not following any of the above points may result in fire, and in extreme cases may lead to loss of health or life as a result of electric shock.
  • The manufacturer is not responsible for property damage, loss of health or life in case of failure to comply with any of the above points.

General safety rules

  • The device must be used in accordance with general safety rules and safety requirements for working with electrical equipment. Make sure you know what to do in case of accidents involving electricity and what to do in case of fire.
  • Persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge should only use this device under supervision or with adequate instructions for safe use.
  • Keep the device away from children, unauthorized persons and animals.

Hints before installation

  • After opening the package, check whether the device, its cables and other parts have been damaged during transport or opening the package with a sharp tool. If you notice any damage, do not
  • install or start up the device. Contact your dealer or the manufacturer.
  • During installation, the workspace must be properly secured to prevent access by children or unauthorized persons.
  • Do not leave the package or its components unattended near children. Plastic foil, plastic bags and other packaging parts can be dangerous in the hands of children. There is a danger of suffocation!

Installation and Operating Warnings

  • Do not turn on the power when installation of the device has not been completed.
  • Do not touch any parts of the device when it is connected to the mains and its housing is open.

There is a risk of electric shock!

  • Inspect the device regularly for visible damage to the structure, wiring and other components.
  • Have the electrical system checked regularly to make sure it is in good working order and that it is safe to use.
  • Do not use the device if it is visibly damaged or suspected of being damaged, or if it indicates any critical malfunction. Do not touch the device or any of its components when they are damaged because they may conduct electricity. This poses a risk of electrical shock! Safely disconnect the power at the distribution box and contact a trained and authorized person to perform the inspection.
  • Do not use or touch the device or any of its components when they are not properly grounded!
  • The device and its components may conduct electricity, posing a risk of electric shock!
  • Do not touch any uninsulated wires or expose them to moisture or liquid! This poses a risk of electrical shock!
  • Do not install or use the device in the vicinity of flammable materials, flammable gases or explosive materials
  • Do not install or use the device in the immediate vicinity of a strong heat source.
  • Do not use the device with tangled or coiled cables, as this may lead to overheating.
  • The device may only be used within a temperature range of -40 °C to +55 °C. Avoid exposing the device or any of its components for a long period of time to strong sunlight that may lead to the temperature exceeding the permissible operating range.
  • The device has IP66 ingress protection and IK10 mechanical resistance class, which makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. In the case of outdoor use, due to random atmospheric conditions, it is recommended to install a roof
  • over the device. When installing the device on  a mounting pole it is recommended to install a physical protection device in the form of e.g. a barrier that will prevent a collision between the device and a vehicle, causing damage and creating a risk of electric shock.
  • For a device with an integrated Type 2 cable (Model: EV14), secure the Type 2 plug with the sup­plied rubber stopper after charging.
  • For a device with an integrated Type 2 socket (Model: EV15/EV15RFID), secure the Type 2 socket with the attached tab after charging is completed.
  • Before charging, make sure that the device plug or socket is not damaged or wet.
  • Do not put the plug in any liquid!
  • Do not handle the device with wet hands!
  • Do not put any objects of any kind in the device plugs or sockets!
  • Do not place your fingers or any other part of your body in the plugs or sockets of this device! This poses a risk of electrical shock!
