Cleaning the Detect Sensors
Clean the sensors when the DIRTDETECT icon turns red. If the sensors are partially obstructed, Detect mode will not function as expected. If the icon is still red after cleaning, refer to Detect Sensor Maintenance in the Owner’s Guide.

To Clean the Sensors:

  1. Turn off power and remove the floor nozzle.
  2. Locate the DirtDetect sensor in the nozzle, the FloorDetect sensor on the bottom of the nozzle, and the EdgeDetect sensors on both sides of the nozzle.
  3. Gently wipe the sensors with a microfiber cloth and remove all hair and debris.
  4. Reattach the floor nozzle to the rest of the unit and turn on power. Verify the unit is functioning normally.

  • Q: What should I do if the Detect indicators are not working properly?
    A: If the Detect indicators are not functioning as expected, first check if the sensors are clean and free from any obstructions. Follow the cleaning instructions provided in the manual. If the issue persists, contact customer support for further assistance.

SETTINGS

Touchscreen Selector: To switch between modes, gently tap the desired mode icon.

  • Detect Mode: Select Detect mode to activate Smart Detect Technology. In this mode, the vacuum will detect floor type, dirt, and edges, and will automatically adjust suction to maximize cleaning performance.
  • Manual Surface Modes: Select one of the manual surface modes (Hard Floor, Carpet, or Thick Carpet) to clean specific surfaces without Smart Detect Technology.

TO CLEAN THE SENSORS:

  1. Turn off power and remove the floor nozzle.
