Product Usage Instructions
Switch On/Off
To switch the device on, press the ON/OFF button. The Bluetooth LED will
flash. To switch it off, press the same button again.
Main Pairing: Phone, GPS, TFT
To pair with your phone, GPS, or TFT device, press and hold the pairing
button for 5 seconds until you hear a beep and see the LED flashing. Select
“R1 Mesh” on your device and confirm the pairing.
Intercom Pairing
- Midland/OBI Intercom Pairing: Press and hold the pairing button for 7 seconds, confirm the pairing, and follow the on-screen instructions to pair with the intercom.
- Other Brand Intercom Pairing: Follow similar steps as above but use the appropriate buttons for pairing with intercoms of other brands.
Reset Bluetooth Pairings
To reset Bluetooth pairings, press and hold both volume buttons together
for 5 seconds until you hear a vocal announcement.
Mesh Identification Code (ID) Selection
To select a personal ID for mesh communication, press both volume buttons
simultaneously once. Use the volume buttons to choose the ID figure and
confirm it by pressing both buttons again.
Intercom Features
- Mesh Communication: To open/close mesh communication, press the button twice. The color of the LED will indicate the selected group.
- Universal Intercom: Press the button twice to open or close the universal intercom.
- Open/Close Intercom by Voice (VOX)
To activate/deactivate the intercom by voice, say “Hi.” The intercom will respond with a jingle and LED flashes. The intercom will deactivate after being silent for 1 minute.

Note: to pair a 2nd device in mono audio, repeat this procedure using Vol -.
Note: to pair another OBI intercom, follow the same procedure using the Up button.
Note : to pair a second intercom of another brand, follow the same
procedure using the Down button.
Note : a maximum of 2 intercoms (Midland, OBI or other brand) can be
paired, one on each button. A second pairing on the same button overwrites the
previous one.
INTERCOM FEATURES
PLEASE NOTE: TO COMMUNICATE VIA MESH, PARTICIPANTS MUST HAVE DIFFE- RENT IDS AND ACTIVE MESH.
FUNCTION DESCRIPTION
Nota: to communicate with Rider 2 repeat the process by pressing the Up
button.
Note: to activate/deactivate the audio from a different brand device, use
the voice call command (for some models it is necessary to send the voice call
2 times)
Note: Voice activation is only possible with an intercom paired with the down button (Vox must be active).
PHONE FEATURES
Note: If you have a phone paired with the Vol – button, use the Down button.
Note: any button can be used.
Note: You can only share music with a Midland Intercom.
