Product Usage Instructions
Logging into the Application
- Log in to the application using your username and password.
- If you don’t have an ONTIME LOGS account, contact your carrier.
- If you forget your password, reset it by clicking “Forgot password?” or contact your carrier.
Connecting ELD Device
- Your tablet with the ONTIME LOGS application automatically scans for ELD devices when you log in.
- When the ELD device is available, it will show a green light indicating it is ready to use.
- Select your ELD device from the displayed list after scanning is complete.
Using ONTIME LOGS on the Road
- Connect your mobile device to the ELD for automatic recording of driving time.
- Your duty status changes automatically based on vehicle speed (Driving or On Duty).
- Choose a status (Duty, Sleep, On Duty) in the main window as per your current situation.
Reviewing ELD Logs
- Tap the Menu icon on the top left corner and select Inspection.
- Begin inspection and show your electronic logbook’s eight-day summary to the officer.
Transferring ELD Records
- Tap the Menu icon on the top left corner and select Inspection.
- Select “Send ELD Output File to DOT” to transfer logbook data.
- Choose a Web service or Email for the transfer method, provide the necessary details, and press Send.

APPLICATION GUIDE

- If you don’t remember your password, you can reset it by clicking Forgot password?”, or contact your carrier.
- Your tablet with the ONTIME LOGS application automatically seans for ELD
- When you log in to your ONTIME LOGS account, the app starts scanning for available ELD devices automatically.
- And the ELD device lights green when it is ready to use.
- You should choose your ELD
- Once the scanning is complete, select your ELD device from the displayed list of results.
- If the ELD is connected to the vehicle, you can see a green icon on the top left corner of the dashboard
- If it is not connected, the icon stays red with “ELD not connected text.
USING ON-TIME LOGS ON THE ROAD
- Once you have connected your mobile device to ELD, your driving time is automatically recorded.
- When your vehicle starts moving and reaches a speed of at least 5 mph, your duty status is automatically set to “Driving”. If the speed of your vehicle goes less than 5 mph, your duty status changes to “On Duty”.
- Choose a status in the main window based on your current situation.
- From the statuses in the main window, select “Off Duty”, “Sleep”, On Duty” depending on your situation.
- Fill out the location field and put remarks, such as Pre-trip inspection” or “Coffee break” If the location field is left empty, it will be automatically set).

- Tap the “Menu” icon on the top left corner and select “Inspection.
- Tap “Begin inspection” and show your electronic logbook’s eight-day summary to the officer.
TRANSFER ELD RECORDS TO AUTHORIZED SAFETY OFFICER FOR INSPECTION
Follow the given guidelines to show your records to the officer
- Tap the “Menu” icon on the top left corner and select Inspection.
- In the pop-up menu, select “Send ELD Output
- File to DOT” to send your electronic logbook data to the DOT.
- Afterward, you should choose one of 2 available options through the radio buttons: “Web service” or Email”. As soon as you select the necessary method, write a comment down below. After filling out the form, press the “Send” button.
