Use Tips

  1. Usually our products will automatically eliminate bubbles, but if you are still worried about bubbles occurs, you can use a heat gun or lighter to eliminate bubbles.
  2. The cure time of NASUBI epoxy resin is normally 8-24 hours, but it will change a little according to the temperature. (Below we provide the different curing schedules caused by different temperatures)
  3. Keep the epoxy resin at room temperature, in a ventilated and avoid direct sunlight environment.
  4. Due to the cold winter weather, liquid products are easily affected by extremely low temperatures and change their state. If you find the epoxy resin become sticky, please place the resin and hardener in a 120°F-140°F warm-water  bath until them back to good fluidity liquid state. Heating will easily accelerate the reaction time, so the working time will be reduced. If you need a longer working time, please wait for the resin and hardener to cool down before mixing.
  5. Please test it on a small mold before use.

How to Use

(Before starting the production, you need to and put the disposable table cloth on the table and place all the objects you need neatly, which will avoid your table and cloths touching the epoxy resin during the production during the process)

  1. MEASURE
Pour A and B into a measure cup 1:1 by volume.
    Ex.5fl oz (A) with 5fl oz(B).

  2. MIX
Stir slowly in one direction for 3-4 mins, be sure to scrape the sides, corners, and bottom of the con trainer several times during mixing.
Once done, you have around 30 minutes of working time.

  3. POUR
When you ensure that the mold is horizontal and stable on the tablecloth, you can slowly pour mixed resin down the side of the mold to avoid introducing additional bubbles.
It is not recommended to scrape the resin out of the contain to avoid improper curing.
When pouring multiple times, please do not exceed 0.4 inch/lcm per layer.

  4. CURE
Normally the epoxy resin will be tacky in 8 hours, 90% or even 99% of the curing (based on the tempera ture) is basically completed by 24 hours, but it will be fully cured within 48 hours. If you need to pour multi plea layers, please  wait 6-8 hours before pouring.

  5. CLEAN UP
All silicone tools can be reused, wait for the residual epoxy resin of the tools to cure, tear it off, and then clean them with alcohol or soapy water, so that secondary use can be guaran- teed, other wise the residual epoxy resin may  cause the tools to stick and become unusable.

  6. UNMOLD
When the resin is completely cured, it can be remove from the mold, but be careful not to use sharp tools to remove the film, otherwise the mold may be scratched and damaged, resulting in scratches on the finished product during sec notary production, when you find that the prod acts that are difficult to take it off, you can spray some release agent to unmold.

Question & Answer

Why doesn't cure well, still sticky/ soft?

l. Please make sure that the volume ratio of A:B mixed is 1:1, not the weight ratio. 2. Please make sure you have scraped the sides of the cup and stir slowly evenly. 3. Please avoid operating at low temperatures.

Does yellowing occur?

Our casting resin is fully resistant to yellowing as well as being NON-TOXIC, which will remain clear all the time.

Will the low temperature cause any problem?

The resin turn thick when the weather is cold(So it may cause more micro bubbles during the process), so, we suggest warm the resin and hardener first before you start your project, Just put the bottle into the warm water are 120F/50C-140F/60C within 8-10 minutes.

How long is the work time? How long does it typically take before the resin gets tacky?

Normally you will get 30 minutes working time before it starts to gel at 77F/25C.

Can UV lamp be used to accelerate the product curing?

No, UV resin and epoxy resin are totally different prod uct, UV resin needs UV lamp to cure but epoxy resin not.

How to add decorations like dried flowers?

Pour the mixed epoxy resin into the mold first (amount is half of the mold) and wait for 1-2 hours. And then you can place the dried flowers and other decorations on it, wait for 4-6 hours ,repeat measure and mix steps then pour the second layer to the mold slowly.
