3. Installation must be carried out in a properly equipped workshop, with the vehicle stationary, the engine switched off and the parking brake engaged.
4. In addition, refer to the safety instructions given in the instructions for the vehicle on which the product is to be installed.
5. Do not attempt to repair the device: if necessary, consult your reseller or qualified technical staff .
6. Take all necessary precautions and use personal protective equipment to avoid any injuries or damage to property.
7. When installation is complete, check that the work has been carried out correctly and according to the instructions in this manual.
8. Use only with a 12 VDC electrical system with a negative ground system.
9. Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle battery when making connections to the unit.
10. When replacing the fuse, use one of the same amperage.
11. Turn on the unit only after ensuring the temperature inside the passenger compartment has stabilised to a standard range.
12. Set the volume low enough so you can still hear sounds like car horns or emergency sirens while in the car.
13. Do not connect any cables in places where they could obstruct the operation of the car’s safety devices.
14. Keep out of the reach of children.
15. Only use the antenna that comes with the device; avoid using different DAB antennas.

RESISTIVE STEERING-WHEEL CONTROLS

• N.B. Every control on the steering wheel can respond to either a short or long press.
• To reassign a control on the steering wheel, choose its matching symbol on the monitor, then press the steering wheel button in the manner you prefer (short or long).
• The way you pressed the steering wheel button will show up on the screen under the corresponding symbol: a red dot if you press quickly the button or a red bar if you hold the button down.
• For the “Volume-” and “Volume+” controls, a short press is recommended.
• To reassign a button and/or type of press, repeat the procedure after selecting Reset.
• If you are having trouble programming the buttons, change the SWC button’s setting from 1K to either 2K or 3K using the SWC symbol.
