DOOR-VERSION
SPECIFYING THE FAN DRILL HOLE
Exact positioning is only necessary if the sanitary sewage tank is located far
to the front in the service compartment, as shown in the picture, in order to
ensure that the service door closes correctly.
If more space is available, the fan can also be positioned some what higher.
For exact positioning, place a ruler (flat material) on the sanitary sewage
tank (D with the cartridge inserted.
1b Service door opens up or down
Close the service door so that the ruler touches it and mark the position of the lower side witth a pen-cil. Mark the point 20 mm (3/4″) above this point and approximately 75 mm in-side the inside frame of the access door. Bore a hole 36 mm to 37 mm diameter (1.4 to 1.46″} through the door, using a cylindrical borer or milling cutter.
lb Service door opens up or down
Measure the height from the base to the upper edge of the flat material. Close
the service door, transfer the measured height onto the middle of the door,
measure from the point 20 mm to the top and drawn on. This point is the center
of the hole.
Bore a hole 36 mm to 37mm diameter (1.4 to 1.46″} through the door, using a
cylindrical borer or milling cutter.
INSERTING THE FAN
As odors can penetrate through unsealed points into the service compartment
and from there into the vehicle. a careful SEALING is important:
Grease drill hole with silicone; if there are two layers of sheet metal, the
space between them must also be sealed against smells.
Mount ventilator (D, hose connector@ must always point in the direction of the
door hinges when hinged left/right; with top/bottom stop direction 2 or 10
o’clock.
Fasten fan with the screws 3.5 x 16 mm (4 items).
Attach cable cap ® 25 x 25 mm, above the fan for strain relief.
MOUNTING THE SQG®FILTER HOUSING
Apply a silicone beading on the rear of the SOG®filter housing CD around the
fan outlet opening.
Also a dab of sealant into the screw holes.
The SOG® filter casing must be installed at least 5 mm from the door frame.
Hold 5 mm of flats between the door frame and the casing as an assembly
support.
Insert and tighten screws, 3,5 x 16 mm VA, without pre-drilling into aluminum
sheet.
(Pre-drill 2,5-3 mm for GRP vehicles).
Insert SOG®filter in the available fixture.
Place cover on the top – pull it forwards slightly at the bottom. Push the
cover from top to bottom so that it locks into place.
Screw in screws @ and tighten slightly. Apply a light pressure on the cover
while doing so.
CONTINUE POINT
If there is already a hole for the control magnet in the slide handle, bring some silicone into the hole and than the magnet will be inserted here.
First push the control magnet with the face marked black into helnole so that it closes flat with the outer side of the slide handle.
If there is not a hole in the slide handle on the ventilating knob side of the
cartridge, this must be provided subsequently.
Follow the dimensions according to the photo.
Unlock slide handle and pull on, locate cartridge in reverse position and unscrew the four Tor screws with Torx insert TX 10. Remove slide handle.
Clamp slide handle in machine vise (see photo).
Pre-drill hole with 3 mm drill and then fully drill with 6 mm drill.
Attention: drill both holes at high speed and low rate of feed.
First push control magnet with the face marked black into the hole (direction
of the arrow) until this closes with the outer side of the slide handle(black
side).
Fasten the control magnet with silicone.
Insert slide handle into the guide rails again and screw in.
Toilets made after 07 /2008 have supports 1 for the reed sensor as well as cable supports 2.
Pull off adhesive film.
Insert sensor holder in screw pin and press upwards, then screw in with screw
3.9 x 6.5 (tighten screw hand-tight).
Sensor must be located on the toilet housing 3.
If the toilet does not have a support for the reed sensor, the sensor holder
should be attached in the service compartment on the left exactly as shown in
photo 11, this being fully sufficient.
Remove adhesive surfaces and clean of grease, pull off adhesive film. Ad here
sensor holder with faces located on the housing.
Sensor must be located on the toilet housing 3.
Preassemble the reed sensor before installing the cable harness (see photo 10,
11, 12).
Push reed sensor through the cable opening and clip the reed sensor into the
mounted sensor holder.
Lay cable harness and fasten with the adhesive base 1).
Connect brown cable of the cable harness to the red quick connector 2 on the
brown cable of the existing cable harness.
Lay SOG®-cable harness to the solenoid valve 3 (photo 15).
The black cable of the SOG® wiring loom (with double connector) can be
connected to the negative cable on solenoid valve@ of the toilet.
Most of the time, the negative ,cable can be found on the first slot, or on
the main wiring harness of the toilet (white plug with red/blue/white cable –
use white cable).
Withdraw this and fit black cable from the wiring loom.
Refit withdrawn cable at the free plug-in position 4.
If the fan switches off during the functional test (point 20) when flushing
the toilet, the other plug-in position must be selected. Connect the end of
the wiring loom to the fan with colours matching.
Remove overpressure valve from the cartridge.
Turn overpressure valve to the left as far as the limit stop (see photo) and
remove upwards.
Insert SOG® hose connection into the bayonet and turn right until you feel the
hose connection click into place.
It this appears difficult, ease in 0-ring with silicone spray or some soap.
DOOR-VERSION
ADJUSTING THE AIR OUTLET HOSE
Insert the hose into the hose connection on the cartridge and shorten to the required length at the ventilator in the door.
Pull out hose at the cartridge and place on the ventilator connection.
Insert hose into the hose connection on the cartridge and push cartridge into
the service compartment.
FUNCTIONAL TEST OF THE VENTILATION SYSTEM MANDATORY!
Open the blade valve and hold a burning incense (joss) stick or cigarette above it. If the smoke i’s drawn down into the holding tank the ventilation system is working correctly.
