Preparing the Ice Maker for Use

IMPORTANT! Before connecting the ice maker to a power source for the first time the ice maker must be allowed to sit upright on a flat surface for 24 hours. This time will allow the refrigerant in the ice maker to settle.

Although the ice maker is cleaned and tested prior to delivery to you, before first consumption of ice from the ice maker it is recommended to run the ice maker for up to 4 cycles of ice making (see Cleaning & Maintenance’ section below). This will ensure all internal components are cleaner and ready for use.

Using the Ice Maker

To use the ice maker to start making ice follow the steps below.

  • Place the ice maker on a stable and level surface that will support the machines weight when filled, ensuring there is good ventilation around the ice maker on all sides.
  • Plug the ice maker into a 120V Mains socket and the POWER LED will light up on the Control Panel flashing green. The LED light signifying LARGE ice cube size setting will also illuminate in green.
  • Open the top cover of the machine and remove the ice basket to access the machines water tank. Fill the water tank with drinking water up to the MAX level indicated on the water tank (Do not overfill).

Could we include a CAD of how the unit is filled?
Tip! Filling with drinking water from the faucet is fine but for best results and to minimize frequency of cleaning it is recommended to use filtered or purified water.

  • Replace the ice basket checking that the water level within the water tank is beneath the base of the ice basket and close the top cover.
  • Press the ON/OFF/CLEAN button once and the ice maker will start to operate. The LED Indicator for the SMALL size ice cubes will illuminate green indicating that the ice maker is making small sized ice cubes. The ice maker will then continue to run constantly until the water needs refilling or unless it is turned OFF.
  • To pause the ice making; when in operation press the ON/OFF/CLEAN button once and the once maker will stop, and the POWER LED indicator will flash green showing the ice maker has entered Standby mode.
  • To turn off the ice maker press the ON/OFF/CLEAN button once when in ON mode and remove the plug from the power supply.

NOTE: During operation the machine will make a low mechanical sound this is normal to the operating cycle and consists of the ice cube being formed, frozen and moved into the ice basket.

Changing the Size of Ice Cubes

  • When in operation by pressing the SELECT button you can change to ice cube size being produced. Press this button until the required size shows illuminated on the control panel of the ice maker.
  • The ice maker is fitted with a power-off memory function meaning that the next time the ice maker is switched on it will select the last ice sized setting.

Refilling the Water Tank

  • During prolonged use the water tank will empty and the If water is “ADD WATER” LED will light up red and the ice maker will stop working. Refill the water tank to the Max level and press the ON/OFF/CLEAN button to restart ice maker.

Emptying the Ice Basket

  • Once the ice bucket reaches its fill level the ice maker will stop operating and the ICE FULL LED indicator will illuminate red. Open the front panel and remove the ice basket to empty or use the provided scoop to remove the ice from the bucket (scoop can then be stored on the side suction cap hook). IMPORTANT! The ice maker does not act like a freezer unit so once ice has been produced it will need to be used or transferred to a freezer for longer time storing.

After the self-clean has taken place hold the unit over a basin and remove the drainage plug on the ice maker to drain out the water. Allow the unit to dry.
CAUTION! Never use hot water to clean this may damage the ice makers’ internal workings.

  • If performing any manual cleaning on the interior or exterior of the ice maker always ensure you unplug it from the mains power supply.
