Product Usage Instructions
Inserting MicroSD Card:
- Open the silicone cover on the camera.
- Insert the microSD card with the label facing upward into the built-in card slot.
- Close the silicone cover securely.
Camera Charging:
The camera needs to be charged before initial use. Follow these steps:
- Connect the charging cable (DC-5V / 1A) to the camera.
- Charge the camera for 14 hours. A solid yellow light indicates charging, and a solid green light indicates a fully charged battery.
FAQ
Q: What should I do if the camera is not charging?
A: Make sure the charging cable is properly connected to the camera and power source. Try using a different power outlet or cable if the issue persists.
Q: Can I use a microSD card larger than 128GB?
A: No, the Birdfy Cam supports microSD cards up to 128GB with Class 10 specifications. Using a larger capacity card may cause compatibility issues.

What’s in the Box
Inserting MicroSD Card
Birdfy Cam comes with a built-in card slot which supports Class 10 microSD cards with capacities of up to 128GB.
- Step 1: Open the silicone cover.
- Step 2: Insert the microSD card. Make sure it is properly positioned with the label facing upward.
- Step 3: Put back the silicone cover.
Camera Charging
The camera does not come fully charged due to safety regula-tions. Before
using it for the first time, please charge it for 14 hours with the charging
cable inside the box (DC5V / 1A).
Status light is solid yellow: charging
Status light is solid green: fully charged
Turning the Camera On & Off
Powering on or off:
Long press the power button at the top of the camera.

Make sure the camera is fully charged (DC5V / 1A).

Please avoid exposing the camera lens to direct sunlight.

The camera has an IP65 waterproof rating, which allows it to function properly in rainy or snowy conditions. However, it should not be submerged in water.
Note:
- Birdfy Cam only works with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.
- Strong light may interfere with the device’s ability to scan QR codes.
- Avoid placing the device behind furniture or near a microwave oven. Please try to keep it in the range of your Wi-Fi signal.
AI Bird Recognition
- If you bought the Birdfy Cam AI, this feature is included and activated automatically, without any additional cost.
- If you have the Birdfy Cam Lite, you need to subscribe to access this feature.
- With AI Bird Identification, you can find out in real-time which bird species are visiting your feeder.
