CARE AND CLEANING

Cleaning the Outside
Do not use abrasive products such as Scotch Brite or steel wool pads; they will scratch the surface. The exterior of your Monogram Designer Collection Brass Hood is composed of three distinctive finishes:

  1. The Brushed Brass Canopy has a mainenance-free finish. Wash with warm, sudsy water. Wipe the surface dry in the direction of the grain with a microfiber cloth.
  2. The Stainless Steel Top and Bottom can be cleaned with warm, sudsy water or a stainless steel cleaner or polish. Wipe the surface dry in the direction of the grain with a microfiber cloth.
  3. The Polished Brass Bands are crafted from a distinctive raw material that will gently age over time. This process will create a uniquely aged appearance that adds to the beauty of your hood. To maintain the original bright polished appearance, use a non-abrasive brass cleaner and apply as per the manufacturer’s instructions. Repair scratches by using a brass polish, applied with a soft cloth, as per the polish manufacturer’s instructions.
