DIRECTV error code 775

Error code 775 displays when your receiver loses connection with the satellite dish. As a result, your TV signal may be interrupted.

To resolve this error:

Step 1: Check Receiver Cables

Secure all connections between your receiver and the wall outlet, starting with the SAT-IN (or SATELLITE IN) connection. If you have any adapters connected, please secure them as well.

Step 2: Reset SWiM Adapter
DIRECTV error code 775
If you have a SWiM (Single Wire Multi-switch) Adapter (pictured above) attached to the DIRECTV cable coming from your dish, unplug it from the electrical outlet. Wait 15 seconds, and plug it back in. This power inserter is usually black or grey and the size of a small brick.

If you’re still having trouble, call us at  800.531.5000  and say “775” when prompted.

How to watch TV while you wait

  • Your DVR:  Press  LIST  on your remote control to view your playlist
  • On Demand:  Go to  Ch. 1000  to browse thousands of titles or  Ch. 1100  for the latest movies in DIRECTV CINEMA
  • Online:  Sign in at directv.com/entertainment and choose Watch Online
  • On a mobile device:  Stream with the DIRECTV App (Free in your App Store)
