Description
What’s New in this Release
RICOH InfoPrint XT for Linux is now a 64-bit application supported by 64-bit Linux operating systems RICOH InfoPrint XT for Linux has improved performance when processing Xerox data streams up to four times faster compared to the previous release. This allows for improved overall performance and compatibility with more Linux operating systems
XT Data stream dumper
Provides a tool for the analysis of problematic Xerox data streams (LCDS and Metacode).
The data stream records are output in EBCDIC, ASCII, or combined format (ASCII, EBCDIC and hexadecimal).
XT Data stream scrambler
Creates scrambled versions of Xerox LCDS data streams containing PII data thus insuring anonymity of sensitive data. The data stream scrambler speeds up troubleshooting and code fixes process for PII data stream issues. It covers only LCDS.
Archive Directives feature
Captures jobs with RICOH ProcessDirector (RPD) + XT or RICOH InfoPrint Manager (IPM) + XT. In the previous version, RPD or IPM flow had to be altered to capture a job. The new Archive Directives feature requires only a one-line text configuration file to be modified for capturing a job, with no more configuration steps required for RPD or IPM. This feature will simplify instructions sent to customers for capturing the job data when reporting problems
Support for Color Metacode in data streams
RICOH InfoPrint XT now offers support for Color Metacode and Color LCDS in data streams and color in FRMs.
aioxlxie BARR=METABAR4
InfoPrint XT is extenting the range of Xerox data streams supported with new supported blocked records format

Limitations

InfoPrint XT is an extensively proven Xerox conversion product that supports the most common capabilities of LCDS and metacode. There are some exceptions. Consult the InfoPrint XT publications for known limitations.

Performance considerations

InfoPrint XT typically converts formatting and control resources separately from job conversion. Combined with an extremely efficient dynamic data stream converter and
enhancements described in this AMD, this means performance is rarely a concern when processing jobs. See What’s New in this Release, p. 2.

Customer Responsibilities

The customer is responsible for installing and using InfoPrint XT according to documented procedures and for using the product in accordance with the Ricoh Software License Agreement (RSLA).
